Does issue occurs on different input and TV's Home screen? If you're experiencing the issue while using an external device, verify the physical cable connection between the TV and the device, as well as the device settings. If possible, try to use a different cable. Performing power reset or restarting the TV may also help resolve picture and sound issues. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Sony KD-65X80K! We're delighted to hear that you appreciate the vibrant colors and sharp picture quality that the television provides. However, we regret to learn that you've experienced lagging issues, and we understand how frustrating that can be.

Here are some steps and recommendations to help address the problem:

1. Restart your TV, you can do this by holding down the power button on the Sony remote for 5 seconds, and then select restart.

2. To maintain optimal performance of your TV, please update the firmware to version 6.7612. You can manually check for updates by going to Settings > System > About > System Software Update > Update Software. 3. Free up some space within the TV storage, you need to have at least 800MB of available space for the TV to work properly, you can check this going to settings > system > storage > internal shared storage. You can clear the Cached Data and delete some apps you no longer use to free up some space.

4. Perform a factory data reset, in case there is a glitch this can take care of that, just be aware this will delete everything on the TV and take it to factory settings. You start the process by selecting Settings > system > about > reset > factory data reset.

A limited number of apps like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and Disney+ are available in Basic TV.

If you want to use certain advertised features, including voice to activate linked apps and install other apps, you need to log in to your Google account and switch from basic TV to Google TV.
