Poor Wifi Connectivity

I have owned this TV for 4 months and almost every other day the WiFi does not connect. The picture quality is average. There are only a handful of other reviews that state the WiFi challenge, and the troubleshooting links to Sonys website do not help at all. If you are weighing options on spending more on the Sony name, I highly recommend against it as I regret this purchase

NEVER AGAIN, SONY!!!!!!

Paid $800 on sale in November 2019, literally only watch this tv in my living room during football season. Watched the Cowboy game last night and today the back light display is broken. Bought a $250 Samsung for my bedroom at the same time that I watch every single day and still works great.

NO PICTURE ONLY A MONTH OLD

Its been just over a month since it was purchased and at that month mark the screen doesn't come on anymore. We have tried everything suggested and nothing works. We get sound but no picture. Called sony and rep doesn't answer but sends an email asking for picture of back of the tv and the issue. THE ISSUE IS THERE IS NO PICTURE. When it works its good getting it to work is issue.

It would fade to black, but would come back if you turned it off multiple times. Eventually, it stopped completely. I expect more from Sony.

Dead pixels on 2 purchased units

I returned it and ordered another and it had a whole cluster of dead pixels. I recommend watching a dead pixel tester video on this thing when you first buy it. It seems Sony is not really focused on quality control with these entry level models.

Defective

We had to return the tv because it kept making this loud screeching noise and then it would turn off and on . The screen would go blank. It didn’t work well with Apple TV. It kept saying to try a new HDMI cable. We tried multiple ones and still did not resolve.

What a piece of junk

We can perform a factory reset to fully isolate and hopefully resolve this issue. To perform a factory reset, press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, then select [Settings] — [System] — [About] — [Reset] — [Factory data reset]. After the factory reset process completes successfully, the TV will start the Initial Setup wizard. You must agree to the Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Feel free to test the unit again and verify if it resolves the issue.
