Very pleased withe the picture and overall viewing. Geek Squad did a great job with the install. Surprised the sound is adequate in the bedroom, but still use our existing soundbar in the living room. We had a Firestick, and was accustomed to that user interface. The Google TV interface is a little quirky, but it's not bad and I'll get used to it. Overall, I recommend this model.

Picture quality is quite good for the price, and the functionality is pretty much flawless. I paired this TV with a Sonos beam as well and everything seems to match up well with sound. I can control this TV with my Apple TV remote and it controls audio as necessary all with one remote. Also works fairly well with Google TV, but I don’t use that as much. Only complaint is that it’s a little bit thicker than some TVs, although at this price point, it isn’t too bad.

Top notch quality for a great price

I have been a Sony Customer for years. I upgraded from the 2009 kd-52xrb9 which by the way, still produces such an amazing picture. With the 65 Class X85J I did not go wrong. The colors are vivid, the quality is truly as expected. I recommend this tv. I actually gifted this tv to my niece and will purchase another for myself. You never fail me Sony. The only thing is that i wish the sound was a great as my 52" xrb9

Good quality but it has some issues with the OS

I updated the google TV when I purchased it but every couple of days I have the following issues: It stops connecting to Wifi I enable the Wifi button but it changes back to disable It gets mute on applications like Netflix …. I have to keep the power button to restart the TV, then it works fine. It’s pretty disappointing for a brand new TV. It’s also a bit slow! Probably there is an issue with the OS, or CPU!

Dissapointment of a TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this TV for 2 years and the dirty screen effect is terrible. I took care of this thing. Never left screens on idle. Really dissapointed. When gaming it is especially noticeable in dark areas. Not noticeable when watching bright TV shows. In gaming and loading screens for the TV apps it looks terrible. Probably will not be buying any more Sony TVs in the future. Just had to buy a new TV cause I couldn’t stand it any longer. LG C1 is already on the way.

The store experience was excellent with the sales associate attentive and quite helpful. Delivery arrangements was a snap and you could have set your clock as the delivery teams next day delivery time was spot on. Set up was easy, just follow the directions provided. Quality of the picture is excellent and the TV is equipped with just the right accessory jacks I needed for my application.

But this one was marked way down, lower than the price of the open-box 55" that I had intended to buy. No regrets whatsoever. This TV is great - picture is awesome, no viewing angle issues. The first thing we watched was the new Ghostbusters and it looked amazing. Also, not noted in the specs - it does have an 1/8" audio out, so we were able to hook it up to our ancient stereo.
