Was told that we should be able to get our Direct Stream but can’t due to it being a Sony. Have to go through Google play for everything and it isn’t very user friendly Tech support was of no help whatsoever. Would have much rather gotten a Fire TV for the better ease of operation. Kind of disappointed in the purchase. Middle of the road because great picture offsets the negative some.

The Google Play Store on the Android TV only displays apps that are supported by the TV, so apps that are not displayed are not supported at the moment. Not all apps for other Android devices such as smartphones can be used with the TV. If you are using a cable or satellite box, it may take in excess of 5 seconds and the picture may momentarily flash when changing channels, especially when you are tuning between a high definition and standard definition channel. It is recommended to fix the format to 1080i resolution on your cable or satellite box. This way the cable or satellite box does not need to switch formats between channels. Channel change time may be improved and you may eliminate the momentary flashes and distortions.
