    TV seems fine, tho picture does not appear to be any better than the 720p 10-year old one it replaced. Also, geek squad simply removed new TV from box, attached legs, placed on stand, plugged it in, turned it on and left. No instructions, no basic tutorial, no nothing. Expected more for $149.00.

    After 1 1/2 years of owning the tv and the master board went out. Everything was great until it failed randomly with no help from Best Buy or Sony. Out $800.

    Had difficulty connecting to Apple TV originally. Now the set can’t connect to my WiFi signal, which is working on other TVs in the house. Both problems seem to be unique to Sony products.

    Does Not Work With XBOX One X @ 120Hz 4k

    I am not very happy with this Sony TV. I bought it with the purpose of using it with an XBOX One X, and now I discover that the X85J does not do 4k 120Hz with the XBOX...at least this unit does not. I spent nearly 3 hours with Sony tech support and we could not get it to work. We did ALL of the proper settings: used #4 HDMI port, set the port to Enhanced, and I used a new HDMI 2.1 premium cable. Nada, zip...waste of money on a VERY expensive TV.

    As a replacement of our old Sony TV, this one was full of software update problems. Even the geek guys couldn’t fix the white screen issues. It drove us crazy. Soon we are having this taken out then getting the 65” Samsung Q70 at the recommendation of hose geek guys who couldn’t fix the problems! Do not buy this TV!

      The X85J is equipped with 4 (4 side) HDMI Inputs. You can connect the playback devices (BD player and Roku streaming device) to any available HDMI inputs on your TV. To enjoy high quality 4K contents, connect a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable(s) that supports speeds of 18 Gbps and set the [HDMI signal format] to [Enhanced format].

      If you have a soundbar, then use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI IN 3 (eARC/ARC) terminal on the TV to the TV OUT (ARC) terminal on the Soundbar.
