We love the Bluetooth capabilities on this receiver, although set up without the controller is near impossible and we bought it off the shelf as a display model. We love it so far, Sony is always a sure thing.

Overall the unit works fine. Nothing incredibly notable to mention. My one issue with this receiver is the handshake takes too long. I give it 3 stars because it works and unless your planning on using it to run a movie theatre it'll do the trick.

Bought this for the hdcp2.2 and 4k passthrough. Works well but has hickups. In the morning it sometimes doesn't allow the cable box signal to be viewed without powering on switching inputs then back then it's ok. Also if you hook up to video 1 input it would revert to sat/carb which is the one 4k input. To remedy this I switched cable box to the bd/DVD input but as mentioned before the issue in the morning. Also It would have been nice if all the inputs were 4k. This was last year's model and was an absolute steal at 239.00 for a retail of 599.00. That is the lowest price anywhere period.

I needed 4K pass through so I bought this to replace the same model of an earlier year. The sound quality has improved and the ability to control more aspects.

I had the 840 series prior and it died on me. I decided to move up to the 1060 and noticed a huge improvement. Very happy with sound clarity, surround sound

This audio receiver basically turns your tv into a giant computer monitor. Great product, great sound quality.

I bought this receiver for $500. I have it paired with a three speaker set-up of B&W's that I bought a couple of years ago. It replaced my couple of year old $1000 Marantz that was really a piece of ****. I have a 20+ year old Sony receiver that still kicks it for another part of the house and thought when the Marantz died that why not give Sony a try. I love the Bluetooth connectivity to my MacBook. I am able to control the volume on the receiver and play whatever tunes are stored on my Mac. The canned equalizer settings are really good for music and movies.

Picked it up and haven't been sorry so far. Plenty of modern features for my needs and handles 4K pass through which I needed for my OLED tv and Xbox one S.

This receiver is awesome! Replaced an old onkyo and the sound is so much better. Heard the difference as soon as I turned it on!

Bought this receiver on the advice of a Best Buy sales associate. Save $300 over the current model. Easy hook up and configuration.

I went to purchase the new Sony ...1070 receiver, but the Best Buy I went to didn't have it, but had the 1060 for an incredibly low price so I figured I'd give it a try. No regrets, works well, and controls all my home theatre electronics (55" Sony TV, cable box, Sony Blu-ray, Apple TV, Amazon FireStick). It has less inputs than the 1070, but for the couple of hundred I saved, I will make do.

I had to replace my old Sony receiver and am very satisfied with the 1060 model I purchased. It sounds great.

Great receiver, easy to setup. Crisp sound with my 4K tv and my surround sound. Very happy with it.

The amplifier is powerful and clean. It was an excellent upgrade choice from an Onkyo TX535. The extra power is worth the investment. I chose this model because of the internet music capabilities, specifically for Spotify. The interface is user friendly and it beats the one from my former Onkyo by leaps and bounds. The zone settings is limited depending on which inputs are being used and the speaker configuration.

After 2 years it still works great and I use it regularly with all my stuff. I have not used it for multi room setup, so I am not sure how easy or hard that is to setup. There is a timer that turns off when it is not in use, which can be annoying if you have something on pause and it starts to count down, you have to use something on the receiver to get it to stop. Not a device thats connected.
