The Sony remote that came with the TV works the Xfinity DVR, and the Klipsch soundbar The picture on this TV is beautiful and so far so good.

Decent tv, but priced too high for what you get

We see halos still see halos and distortion altogether too frequently. The sound is pretty good with a sound bar, and the remote is very intuitive. Again, for the money, I would have expected a bit more.

Thank you for the feedback. You also have to consider the picture quality will depend on the source that you're playing. For example, when using a set-top box, recording device, or other external device that does not support HD quality, videos are displayed in SD quality. Even when the external device supports HD quality, if the device is connected to the TV by an analog method, videos will not be displayed in HD quality. you can configure various settings related to the TV display such as color and brightness for picture quality, or screen size

Barely lasted 24 months.

Almost exactly 24 months after purchase, three black vertical stripes emerged on the right side of the screen, effectively blacking out about a 4” wide vertical strip on the screen. Within a week, that widened to about 10”, accompanied by thin, translucent horizontal stripes across the bottom of the screen. Sound remained fine. Within days after that, the screen blacked out suddenly. I was able to get it back a couple of times (briefly) by turning the unit off & on, but now it’s completely black, and the TV is done. Worst TV purchase I’ve ever made. Never another Sony. Never.

Then about 2 months following expiration of warranty, the TV would not turn on and instead just flashed 4 red blinking lights. Geek Squad refused to come out, stating they already knew the problem was the LED panel, as this is a common issue with this model of TV, and cannot be fixed. Sony also doesn't carry the part to replace this. Therefore, $2.500 down the drain.
