Let me start off by saying that I usually buy Flagship Tv's every 2 years, always trying to keep up with the latest and greatest technology. I love Tv's and electronics. With that being said, this TV is truly awesome! The craftsmanship of the XBR75X940E is in a class of its own. The edge frame is truly stunning. It's small, sleek, and it allows the screen to seamlessly flow into the edge. I have had many 65" TV's, and have been waiting for the right tv to come out to make the jump to 75". I couldn't have picked a better tv to make the jump. With the full array backlighting on the 75" version, its an incredible experience! The extra 10 inches makes a HUGE difference. The picture quality of this tv is second to none! The blacks are blacker then my Panasonic Plasma ZT model! The Whites are bright, clean and crisp. Colors are extremely natural and beautiful. There is zero light bleed, anywhere on this tv, under any conditions! The 4K X1 Extreme processor is super fast. The Android operating system is great, and pairs with your phones! The HDR is amazing. In short, if your thinking about buying this tv, (BEST TV FOR THE MONEY, BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK), Don't hesitate! There are no cons about this tv what so ever. Easily the best TV I have ever owned! My only regret on this purchase is that I did not buy it earlier!

My incompetent sales person sold me a TV with a stand that won’t fit my furniture. I gave the exact, correct cabinet specs BEFORE the purchase. Returned the product.

Horrible TV horrible horrible customer service from Sony! I purchased five of these in a row all five were defective and Sony did not stand behind any of their products exercising completely completely ridiculous ghetto quality from a customer service standpoint. Whatever you do don’t buy this TV or any Sony TV moving forward

very unreliable TV. I paid over $4000 for the 75 inch TV. from the time it was installed it was glitchy. five months after purchasing it we can not get the TV to turn on. all of the other components plugged into the surge protector work. I tried unplugging it, holding the start button down and replaced the batteries in the remote. sony is closed on sunday so I contacted best buy where I purchased it. they were no help.

Exchanging. Picture isn't sharp. Black is too overwhelming.

I had the 930E and exchanged it for the 940. I only exchanged it because we decided that a 75 would fit in the space after all. I'm glad I did, the 75 is awesome, but also because the 940 looks even better than the 930. In fact, when I looked at it in the store compared to the Z9D, the Z was only barely noticeable in a few HDR highlights. I thought the 940 looked way better than all of the LG Oleds, which just weren't as bright or vibrant and since the 940 is a FALD instead of edge lit the Blacks are still pretty darn good. I know there are complaints about android tv but I think the system is easy to use and fast and responsive. We have Directv 4k service and while there's not much programing, we've seen some pretty awesome 4k nature documentaries. I also picked up the oppo UHD bluray (which is adding dolby vision soon) Star Trek 2009 looks amazing in HDR on the 940. Only thing I'm upset about now is that Game of Thrones isn't in 4k!

I brought this around Feb 11,2018 around week of March 12th it started to shut off by itself. Tried to turn it back on and it turned on only to have it repeat the same thing the next day. Over the course of the week it started to get yellow vertical lines then would shut off. Finally it got so bad as soon as you turned it would shut off and or freeze up.

$4000 for my first sony tv coming from buying 3 Samsung’s (32”,55”,65“). Figure I would give Sony a chance to win me over, nope. I was wrong. Terrible white clouding in the four corners of the tv on dark/black screens. Also vertical bands of Cloudy white lights and when watching some sports especially soccer the image has a ghosting effect. After two years of ownership it will be first and last Sony I buy.

I purchased this TV after returning a QLED I had for 2 weeks. The difference is astounding. When in 4K mode, I would put this TV against ANY OLED on the market for clarity and true color. Blacks are magnificent and their is No shutter delay. Honestly, It's as close to being at the movies you can get. I still cringe about spending $4500 for a TV, then I turn it on and it justifies why I did. Samsung has a long way to go to match the 940 E
