I mounted the TV on the wall with Sony's mount that was recommended for my TV model. Once mounted, I plugged in the devices and started up the TV, start up and setup was easy , devices were recognized, DISH, BlueRay Player, BOSE sound System, all worked with out issues.
TV image quality is the best, detail is unmatched.
Android smart TV is easy to navigate through with many options.
Very Satisfied

Picture is fantastic but the software sucks. It is sluggish, non- intuitive, and freezes periodically.

This TV is larger than life and looks amazing. Purchased it for a friend, and I own the 65 inch myself.
If you have the cash, spring for it and you won’t be disappointed.
Sony all the way vs LG C9.

Picture quality is amazing!!!!!! It is IMAX certification, sound quality is also great. I never seen an image this detailed. Contrast is perfect for late night 4K movies. If your into shows and movies this is the best tv to get. 77 inch is the best!!!! Make sure you buy a full motion stand!

TV stopped working

Great TV while it worked. But lasted less than 4 years and the screen just went out. Horizontal lines across the TV and shuts off after around 15 minutes. Unfortunately didn’t buy extended warranty and Sony would not help at all so just a loss of an expensive tv we thought would last longer.

Great picture, but

Beautiful picture, but quirky operating system, poor reliability, lack of Sony support (does not exist), make this a poor choice except for the most skilled video/audiophile.

locks up, need to unplug and plug in to fix

picture quality is great as others point out, but for the last year at least once a month we have to unplug and plug in to fix things. Perhaps google android that's powering this is the culprit. For example- no sound. I called Sony. They said unplug to fix it. Just today- wouldn't power on. Unplug to fix it. We've had 2 LG OLEDs that never needed a power cycle once. Wish I'd sticked with them.

Disconnects from the wifi daily. TV has to be reset constantly to reestablish wifi connection.

Sony TVs are a joke. Don’t waste your money.

Sony is no longer the go to company for TVs. This TV did not even last a year. As it was still under warranty, Sony replaced it with a Sony XR-77A80J in 2022. The replacement TV lasted a little longer (~2 years). Avoid Sony TVs at all costs, unless you like wasting your money and time.

Sony’s TVs are poor quality, broken after 2 years

I’ve owned my Sony xbr65x900c for around two years after paying around $2000 for it and I unplugged it the other day and plugged it back in and now it won’t work. After plugging it back in it starts up for a minute but won’t function with any buttons then shuts off and goes into boot loop clicking on and off repeatedly. I was advised by Sony support to try a hard restart which didn’t do anything then to download the latest update to a usb drive and plug it in which I did and the tv said it already has the latest version downloaded. Then they pretty much told me to hire a tv servicer to come and repair whatever the issue is and that I’d have to cover all costs because my warranty was up after one year which according to other posts having similar issues is around $1000. This seems kind of pointless for a tv that will probably need another $1000 in around two more years. I have a Sharp tv that has been working for longer for a fraction of the cost.

TV arrive broken.

Ordered TV with professional delivery and installation. The delivery took 11 days and the TV was delivered broken. Will now take 9 more days to wait for the replacement. Far too long and too much money to be waiting over 20 days for a working TV. An update will be provided when the product eventually arrives.

Five weeks, already has burn-in, Sony is no help.

Had it for five weeks, and already has burn-in on the screen. Google the issue, it is a real problem, and now Sony says they do not cover these issues. Buy an LED/QLED. OLED is not worth the money at all.
