Coming from a XBR-70X850B which is a LCD 4K tv it was a night and day experience change. I have used 70" TV's for 10+ years and this larger size is an experience all unto itself. The rich vibrant colors displayed are gorgeous visually. Watching 4K HDR movies via the UBP-X800M2 is great. The change of darks and colors and brightness all are showcased. I do not use the built in android features but instead connected my 4K Apple TV to it and everything worked wonderfully. Watching the various content options such as Disney+, HBP Max, Hulu, Vudu, Amazon Prime all look great. Dolby Vision is enabled automatically when triggered by the content and this function is great. I highly recommend consideration for anyone in this price-point. It is not cheap but the experience is high end.

Stand back from the TV and you’ll see an unbelievable clear picture. Move closer and it’s even clearer! Forget everything your mother said about sitting to close to the TV, and how it would make you go blind. When there is a persons face on the screen, go ahead and get as close as you can. You won’t see pixels, you’ll see the pores in their skin. The black areas on an OLED-TV are not like the black areas on a regular LED. They are a void of all light that does not represent just the absence of color, Insted it accurately depicts what I would imagine of an abyss. 10-Stars!

Pros * Gorgeous display * Great sound * Built well with good fit and finish * Nice interface that pulls you through the setup * 4K video is breathtaking and we have not seen any pixelated pictures unlike other brands Cons * Very challenging to install due to size, around 70-80 pounds, and how thin it is around the edges - it is as thin as a car’s windshield on the edges! * We had to buy a really good TV mount to attach it to our wall and it took 3 tries to install and cost about $400. I would recommend paying for installation as we were had some challenges * Very minor issue is the remote is not backlit so you have to shine a light on it to see the buttons when watching it in a dark room

I love my 77" Sony A9G TV so much, I bought another one. My vision and hearing are getting bad and I thought this would help. It does and I can now enjoy tv again. I haven't used all the bells and whistles yet, but it looks and sounds great. I have explored with it a little bit and it was easy even for someone that isn't tech savy. Best Buy mounted 3 tv's on walls for me and it went well and works wonderfully. My old 46" Sony TV still works perfectly and is 12 years old. Based on that I decided this is an excellent deal. I think anyone would love this TV!

Between the OLED display, Dolby Vision support, the fast and responsive TV Apps, this TV doesn't disappoint. Colors are rich but true to the content, the black level is perfect, and upscaling HD content to 4k looks amazing. Things to note: At first I thought the TV was defective in regards to Dolby Vision or HDR via HDMI (from a 4k Blu-ray Player or Apple TV). The TV comes out of the box with your HDMI ports all set to a Standard mode which doesn't accept HDR. You must change in settings the HDMI ports to "Enhanced". Wish this was turned on out of the box, but it's an easy fix once you know what to look for.

Love this TV. Just bought it about a month ago and so far it is fantastic!. I am not a very technical guy so I can't talk about all of the bits and bytes on this TV, I just know great picture when I see it and great features when I see them. The picture is incredible. I have never seen more detail and sharp colors. Coming from a 15 year old 65 inch Samsung TV (Which was state of the art at the time I bought it) to this 77 Inch marvel of technology is like I am watching TV for the first time. It is incredible. Paired with my Sonos surround sound system, it really is like I am in a movie theater when I watch movies on this TV. It is especially great when the room is darker but it still looks really good in a lighted room. The only issue with light is that when the room is well lighted, you tend to get light glares or reflections off of the screen, but closing the shades or dimming the lights usually solves that problem. The Google assistant is also awesome. Just tell it what you want to see and boom it takes you there (Although, I also have a Comcast voice remote, so I can just use that too). This TV is also really simple to set up and use and this is coming from a guy who doesn't know much technically and usually relies on people to set this kind of stuff up for him. So if I can set this TV up and use it easily and makes system changes easily anyone can, I would highly recommend this TV to anyone who is technically challenged like me. The stock sound on this TV is also pretty good as well. Like any TV on the market, the stock sound is not fantastic, but the stock sound on this TV is much better than any other model I looked at and is by far one of the best out there. Even if I turn my Sonos sound system off and just use the TV speakers, I still get pretty good crisp sound and can still hear most things even with my kids yelling in the background. The only negative that I would caution people on when it comes to the sound is that this TV doesn't seem to like the remote control devices of certain cable or satellite providers. I had Direct TV paired with this TV and my Sonos surround system and programmed the Direct TV remote to control the sound of both the TV and the Sonos system. It worked OK at first, but after just a few hours the Direct TV remote stoped controlling the Sonos sound system volume and I had to keep reprogramming the remote over and over again. I switched to Comcast cable and this problem went away and hasn't come back yet after a week. So just keep that in mind when buying this TV. Bottom line, I would recommend this TV to anyone out there who wants a great picture that will make all of your friends jealous, anyone who wants superior stock sound from the TV, anyone who is looking for a lot of great features in a TV and anyone who is looking for an easy to set up and easy to use TV.

Wonderful TV. Great clear picture with depth. As good or better than a theater movie screen. A black screen is actually black. My spouse and I have been looking at various brand TV's for 4 years and we always come back to the Sony OLED as being the best quality picture. We had an excellent experience with the s Sales department at Best Buy in Bethel Park. Their installers were also professional and excellent at their job. I highly recommend this store and this TV. We convinced a friend to buy a smaller model of this TV and he is just as happy as we are with the quality.

I owned Bravia TVs since 2003, and was always happy with quality, value, and durability. This tv didn’t disappoint. The picture quality is amazing, and the true blacks are unparalleled. We started watching more TV, especially the UHD content, now that we got it. The Android TV interface is awesome, and having this TV integrate seamlessly with my Google Home devices is great (it paises when my Nest Hello doorbell rings, i can control it completely woth Google assistant, etc). Worth every exra $$$ this TV costed!

Sony does it again with a top of the line product! Excellent contrast as expected with an OLED set, but colors are also rendered beautifully, especially flesh tones and other colors of nature. What surprised me was the excellent sound. This set has two subwoofers that deliver clean bass, while the rest of the audio spectrum is delivered by vibrating the screen! I was dubious about this, but it really excels in producing very clean and intelligible speech, matched to the position of the source (for broadcasts in stereo).

Love this TV! I bought the 65” last year and loved it too so much that I really wanted the next size up also Even though it’s a 2019 model it’s got a picture that is hard to beat especially in my new media room that is just the right size for a 77” screen I imagine I could have put in an 85” LED model but I like the Sony OLED far superior to other sets I’ve seen You can look at other good televisions and think wow great picture for less money but trust me after you come back to the vibrancy of this picture and the clean sound of the onscreen speaker system you will have the admit the others just don’t measure up Sports are great and detailing perfect I’ve got super keen eyes for detail and can be quick to see flaws so I do not say this to be saying nice things without merit You can focus on every blemish on actors faces if you want-maybe even compare how big their pores are to others The color in this picture is amazing especially if you like scenery etc I wanted a screen size big enough also to visit my family and friends this will work great Got my special seating on order Have not fully used this set yet other than mounting it and turned it on to see that it would work however so to be honest review based on the satisfaction of my other 65” set as it is exactly the same specs other than size You can buy cheaper OLED sets now and some may favor them for gaming responsiveness but after you compare specs they are minimal With the Sony you are buying their technology for movies, sports and scenery Sony will have to work really hard to outdo this set for their next Master Series Model

With movie theaters closed in my area (for too long in my opinion) a 75 inch new TV started to look really good. After some research, we opted on OLED. Now maybe Im biased but my past Sony products have never given me problems. Looked at this 77AG9 and the LG. Bought the Sony and am happy with it (cost diff covered a new Sony 4K player to watch 4K LOTR tril). Best Buy delivery included went smoothly

I've usually been one to go for cheaper TV's but after a lot of research and setting money inside I finally decided to invest in a more high quality TV. Let me tell this TV is definitely worth every dollar I spent. There is no comparison to my previous Samsung or LG TV. The picture quality is absolutely breathtaking!! I love watching movies and playing video games and let me tell you this is absolutely amazing for both!! The sound quality is pretty good but I'm always one to opt for the soundbar and sub. Anyone who has the money saved to purchase this TV will not be disappointed especially if you play host to football games or movie nights.

I purchased this product over 2 years after its initial release. Though the newer, lower priced models offer many of the same features, the performance quality of this unit remains superior. For example, I found the eARC audio quality of this unit to be superior to a newer model Sony TV that I used in my system prior to this product. It's used primarily for home theater, followed by sports and gaming.

We thought we might buy a different TV but had excellent advice from a TV specialist and opted to pay more for the OLED and hold off on a sound system and we don’t think we need anything more. Covid was a part of the reason for splurging on a screen that seemed large but now we have had it for a while it is not too big. We love this TV. The only negative was that they sent out one guy to deliver but fortunately I was able to take the other end as we climbed to the second floor, fortunately it isn’t that heavy.

Sony 77 XBR A9G Oled TV is the best TV on the market today. I have the Panasonic TCP60ZT plasma TV and the Sony XBR65X900B LCD TV. Purchased the Sony Oled because of the reputation and durability. Picture just jumps out at you. Vivid colors. Great sound coming from the front TV screen. I purchased the Sony HTST 5000 sound bar go go along with the TV. Best deal was Best Buy has it on sale for Black Friday $ 1,200.00 off at $ 3,299.00 Lowest price anywhere. love the TV and love Best Buy.
