Great picture and awesome apps easy to use. A bit high priced but hoping it lasts long great Sony quality as always

I have had this TV for 10 days. I have been calibrating the picture a little bit each day fine tuning it at each step. The image quality, vibrancy of colors and contrast is outstanding. People's skin tones are phenomenal. I don't use the TV's apps since it is connected to an Apple TV 4K. So far I am very happy with the quality of the TV. At the time of my purchase in 2020, it was 50% cheaper than when it came out in 2019. I would most definitely recommend this TV to family members and friends. On the other hand, Best Buy's Geek Squad scheduled installation was full of problems not once but twice. I ended up unboxing the TV myself with a friend's help. Not very happy with the Geek Squad internal miscommunication and the headaches they created. I lost a full day of work which is more than the gift card they offered for all the trouble.

NOT cheap but wonderful picture in 4k HDR, great upscaling in rooms with variable lighting. Would have loved for a few other apps to be available but this is likely the best smart TV around.

We hadn't bought a new TV in six or seven years so there was a learning curve involved. In the end we went to the store and let our eyes make their own decisions. We were skeptical about paying more for OLED in the Sony A9G 77 ". One month in with the TV and I'd have it no other way. We bought the Sonos surround system to pair with the TV and watching the Expanse is crazy good! Maybe if you intend to watch regular shows, you might be OK not splurging for this TV. But if you like Action Movies and Space - Fantasy streaming series, you'll be glad you spent the money on this TV and a premium surround system.

I’ve owned many high-end Sony, Samsung and LG TVs over the last 12 years. Sony is typically my favorite as I like the software and the picture quality. This tv is by far the nicest I’ve ever own or even seen. I was able to find it for $4999 on Black Friday. What sets it apart is the lighting of the screen. It seems so real and the best part is the dark scenes where I would usually not see details with other TVs. I’ve watched several movies so far and absolutely love this TV! 5 Stars!

So happy I bought this TV. It is not a cheap one but the quality pays for itself. Best OLED screen. High quality picture. Best sound. Love the android feature. Now I use this TV for Google assistance. Sleek design as well.

As amazing as it is i feel disappointed that the cable content today is mostly 720p. To take advantage of the screen size and clarity you really need to watch 4k content which is very limited. If you are watching 720p, because of the screen size, the distortions are more prominent. However its still an amazing TV and I love it. If you have a lot of 4k and HD content to watch you won’t be disappointed. The best part of this TV is the smart remote. I could program my spectrum cable box with it and my bose soundbar. Now I truly have one single universal remote for everything.

Excellent picture quality! Very happy with purchase. Easy to set up and user friendly menu. First Sony TV, always bought Samsung before- but the dramatic color with true black can’t be beat. Highly recommend!

I was on the fence on whether to purchase a new Sony A9g Master series OLED. I sought out the knowledge of a few BB employees who each had sound advice. The store managers Blanca and Steve where both key factors to my purchase. Blanca made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Hindsight after the purchase, I couldn't be happier with my TV. It has become the centerpiece of my home. The Android system is flawless. Thank you Blanca! ***The only negative I have is that I didn't know until after the fact that the TV can and will Ghost, similar to a plasma screen. But, I guess that's what insurance is for. But other than that the picture is AMAZING! I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

A great picture!!! I wanted a large TV but this was almost too big!!! I believe I got exactly what I was hoping for in terms of picture quality and ease of use. The reviews are all accurate in my opinion

This TV and surround speaker system is wonderful. The products are excellent. The picture on the TV is amazing and worth the price. The customer service was also fantastic. Brendon Goldacker was the best, very professional, very helpful, informative and knowledgeable. Lisa Starr Chatfield, from Geek Squad, did the install and she was meticulous with the TV and speakers and entire setup. She worked really hard and was at our home the entire day without any break until the job was completed. No damage or mess in our home. Thank you Brendon and Lisa!

This A9G replaced an XBR65X900B that was Sony's best TV in 2015. As great as it was the A9G is better in every respect. The picture is frankly perfect. And the sound is unlike any other TV. I've had several sound bars before and none of them equal the clarity and synchrony produced by the A9G.

This 77" Sony OLED is probably the best picture out there right now. Motion appears to be rendered slightly sharper than my LG OLED. Wish it had the ability to add widgets to connect to other streaming services like Apple Plus and others that will come along in the future. Also wish Sony offered without the built in speaker system which probably added not inconsiderably to the cost. At this price point, most buyers are using a separate sound system.

Specular highlights are insane ...colors are vibrant and motion is fluid ...had a LG c9 and returned due to the lack of good upscaling on lower resolution (cable box etc..) no color banding and Panel uniformity was great out the box ..def a superb image and the 77 makes it feel immersive !!

Purchased our A9G 77" at our local Best Buy back in April after going through 2 sets of another brand I bought on line that both went bad (I probably shouldn't mention the brand).....I should have went to Best Buy last year instead of making on line purchases, the service and sales people are exceptional, and the Sony OLED is one great TV!!! The audio is great, I don't use my sound bar that often now, and the picture quality is unbelievably great! The android functionality is a breeze to use. I'm a retired electronics/IT engineer, and I highly recommend the A9G sets! Thanks Sony....and Best Buy...

What can I say. The picture is absolutely fantastic. The remote is also great and easy to use. The only thing it is geared to android/google and I use Apple products.

My last home theater was an Epson 1080 UB projector. In my new home I decided that I preferred to be able to watch programming with the lights on if I needed to. The Epson was 1080p and this is 4k goodness with the inky blacks of my Panasonic plasma. The android app is very good and responsive. I was not sure if the 77" would do it as I was used to the 92" screen but the 77" is perfect for my new space as it has a lower ceiling. The display is beautiful and everyone that sees it is impressed. I haven't tried any games on it as the PS5 is not readily available yet but I prefer the campaigns and I enjoyed playing my PS4 on the projector.

Love this tv. I had a Samsung plasma 1080p from 2013. It was still great for 1080p but decided to make the leap to OLED 4K. The Sony has an awesome 4K picture and it enhances non-4K content. ATT/Directv has some 4K channels to use. In addition it has all the popular streaming services including HBO Max which LG does not have on their OLED TVs. Just watched the newly released Wonder Women 1984 yesterday upon its release on HBO Max. Could not have done this on my old tv. This tv was a great upgrade for me.

It is not a marketing tag line to say that this is the best TV on the market. Sony image processing is hands-down the best. My previous television was an XBR75X900E and I questioned whether this would really be worth the upgrade. The answer is YES! Anyone who understands televisions like this understand the difference in contrast provided by an OLED panel. couple that with the upgraded image processing and video upscaling abilities and you have an unbeatable cinematic experience. I use an external two-channel listening system, so I can't comment much on the sound of the television other than to say that, in my brief listening experience, it was very impressive!
