Great TV

Pretty annoyed that the only reason I bought it from Best Buy was the $50 worth of rewards points that they were going to give me, but that has apparently been discontinued and now it is too late to return it. I won’t be shopping at Best Buy again.

Sony Bravia 8 77" Disappointed

Posted .Hi JessicaH, we're genuinely sorry to hear that you've gone through those inconveniences and that your Sony - Bravia 8 is not powering on. This is not the experience we want you to have, here are some simple troubleshooting steps you can try:
1- Unplug the TV from the power for 2 mins and then plug it back in
2- Disconnect all external devices from the back and try a different power outlet
3- Try to manually turn on the TV from the power button located underneath the TV in the middle.

Bravia 8 picture is gorgeous, powers itself off

Sony Picture Quality is the best

I was using an Apple TV with my older Sony TV connected through an AV receiver prior to getting this Bravia. I'm now just using the built in Google TV connected directly to my AV receiver on the new Bravia 8. HDMI handshakes are now always flawless, no long delays waiting for Apple TV to start decoding Dolby Atmos, it's all very fluid and fast. Moved the Apple TV to my other TV. Also to correct another review here, it does not always default sound output to the TV; my receiver is always outputting the sound when the Bravia is turned on. I didn't even have to indicate any setting on the TV for this to happen.

This TV does not disappoint
