Amazing picture quality and color out of the box. Predominantly use it for watching TV, movies and PS5. Compared to the 65" model, the 77' Sony has glossy screen like other oled TVs. Happy how it handles reflection compared to C1 or Sony 65" A80J. Day time with side windows open, the picture quality and brightness are pretty good. definitely happy with the purchase.

I have been researching and looking at different TV’s for months and this is hands down the best picture for the price. The picture is incredible and the user interface is very clean. Similar Flaws to the Sony - 85" ClassX900H Series

The first is still Sonys' minimalist view of how this TV will be connected - especially to more "vintage" home theater receivers that are not centered around HDMI connectivity but the RCA connector world. There is no RCA audio out ports. There is as would be expected, there is an HDMI with ARC port and optical output ports. The headphone out port in the back of the TV is the only thing that saves you from having to implement an optical connection or to obtain an HDMI to an analog converter box. Luckily you can use a miniature 3.5mm stereo to 2x RCA female connectors if you have older RCA inputs on your receiver. Clunky at best.Cheap though less than $6.00 not $20-30 for an optical cable or a converter box. Second - what is up with this cheesy cheap non-backlit remote? For this kind of money, a decent remote should have been included. Note that they do not show either the connections on the back of the TV or the remote in the images. There is a reason. As far as the actual operation of the TV - the Google interface does not thrill either. Still prefer the Amazon FireStick 4K interface and easy side loading of apps as compared to the Sony. The picture is quite nice and is everything we had hoped for in an OLED. Good thing we have a good home theater receiver and speakers - Yamaha receiver with Polk 5.1 speaker setup with subwoofer - because of the sound from just the TV hardly meets the all the hype. What can you expect from such a thin TV? Never could get the Sony remote to sync with our Yamaha receiver to control volume Overall I would still recommend it - but be aware there are flaws. Not fatal flaws - but flaws non the less.

Plus, it doesn't flood you with intrusive ads like my Samsung did. Sony could take a cue from Samsung when it comes to their remotes, but Sony's remote is fairly streamlined and intuitive.

Love the OLED blacks and overall sharpness. Not sure if that is just another OLED benefit, the new XR Cognitive processor, or a combination of both but picture quality is top notch. Had a 77” CX for a few weeks, but returned for this when the price dropped. Not a huge gamer so upscaling for tv/movies was top priority.

The black on this TV is so dark it makes the other colors really pop. We have this in a room with windows behind and the picture seems bright. Like how the "legs" can move in so it was able to fit on our TV stand. OLED picture is amazing. Installer said he hasn't seen any Sony OLEDs with burn-in issue but has seen other TVs with that. This is a really great TV. No complaints.

With regards to image retention (burn-in), the good news is that we have equipped it with functions that automatically adjust the screen conditions. Respectively: Panel refresh, Panel calibration, Pixel shift, and Function to adjust the screen brightness. These functions automatically run according to your TV’s condition or you can run them manually.

The picture is incredible/gorgeous out of the box but you can make about 1 million adjustments to it if you want. For an OLED TV it is quite bright, yet the blacks still look like ink. And I've got a Bose 700 soundbar and subwoofer hooked up to it, but the sound from the TV speakers is actually not half bad! The Cons I have with it are 2 fold - the screen is very (very) glossy and doesn't do a good job with reflections, and it's very slow 'booting up' (so don't expect to start watching TV the second you turn it on).

Good to know that the combination of superior video quality and great sound improves your home theater experience. We value your input regarding the slow booting and reflection on the screen. When the TV turns on really slowly, you can perform a power reset to discharge your TV so you can clear the memory cache and get back to running at full speed. To do that, simply press the power button for about 5-10 secs while the TV is on, then select Restart. Also, for best picture quality, do not expose the screen to direct illumination or sunlight also, avoid installing the TV in a room with reflective wall and floor materials.

A week and a half later with it and I couldn't be happier with my choice. As I'm sure you're aware, this TV's gaming features may not be up there with the competition, however this TV shines for watching Movies/Shows, but its also a decent gaming display despite its shortcomings. Really any content looks fantastic, especially Dolby Vision, and there are endless display adjustment options in the menus to fine tune any content to your liking. The Google TV operating system is quite good, especially if you're already in the ecosystem. The UI is snappy and set up was easy as well. I've had no issues with the display brightness in a bright room, protip: turn the peak luminance setting to high to squeeze out some more brightness if you feel you need it. Overall, this TV is awesome and I highly recommend it for someone who will be mainly watching movies/shows and doesn't care for what little extra the A90J offers for the price.

Sound is good, for TV speakers, I listened for a little while then connected my Sonos playbar for a much richer sound experience.Playing a blu-ray disc is where it really shines, incredible life like picture.True outstanding colors,blacks are the blackest I've ever seen on TV!
