Great team!! The TV is running perfectly with amazing picture. Please note that the GoogleTV App does not work on Netflix very well (kicks out and have to restart) so we are using "Basic" TV App that is limited to Netflix, Amazon Prime & Youtube until Sony + Google fix their App on GoogleTV and provide a new software to update with Netflix running on GoogleTV so we can access other APPs like Hulu & AppleTV in the GoogleTV as well. We found this after one week running our TV and called Sony. They are working on it.

Best TV I've Ever Owned

I was looking to go from a 65" to a 77" and wanted a TV with HDMI 2.1. I was surprised to see a noticeable picture quality upgrade with the new processor, and the A80J is much brighter than my old A1E. I could not be happier with my new TV. It works wonderfully with my PS5. Gaming in 4K120 has been pretty cool. I also found that the Google TV was fast and intuitive. It does a pretty good job at recommending movies for me to watch.

But it's really not a big deal unless you're in a very bright room. I came from a Sony x900h. The picture quality is definitely better on the a80j. The biggest difference are the speakers the speakers on the a80j are absolutely amazing for a TV!! The viewing angles on the a80j is leaps and bounds better than the x900h! Are there better TVs on the market? possibly but it's going to be hard for a TV in the same category same price as the a80j to matches it's picture and accuracy out of the box!

I did not hear the TV sound which comes from the entire screen until I got it home, wow! Very impressive sound for just "TV speakers". We did have a little trouble hooking up my existing sound system, but we were able to hook it up using one of the HDMI connections. Now the TV speaker is like a middle speaker joining my sound system. It sounds VERY realistic! Absolutely loving my new TV. (Wife was reluctant to spend the money and get such a large TV. NO complaints at all now that she has watched/heard it a few times!)

Great picture quality, sleek design and OS is quick and easy to navigate. However, if your room is having excessive sunlight, i would go for the A90.

The main thing that sticks out is the blacks and the sound quality. Replaced a 55 in older LED Samsung that was not a good picture so it would not have taken much to impress me but I love this TV. Super fast toggling back and forth from Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. I will say my TV is in a very bright room room so during the day a dark movie can be challenging. So that’s one thing to consider if you are placing in a bright room. We only watch tv during the day an hour or two a week and it’s typically sports so it doesn’t bother me at all. Well worth the price and I can trust the Sony quality for years to come.

They're starting to perfect OLEDs!

I'm using a sound bar so I can't say anything about the sound. The multiple options for stand mounting is a really neat feature. The UI for the TV is pretty standard, works about as well as samsung's UI. The only two downsides (very minor) are that the power button to turn on and off the TV is IR (sound bar ever so slightly in the way), where all thw rest of the button presses are RF, and when you turn the TV on and go straight to say YouTube or Netflix, sometimes it will lag heavily and throw an error signing you in. Otherwise, I'd recommend this TV to everyone. It's a sight to behold!

Although an OLED, the Sony advancement to the technology has made it a good choice for any room. Amazing in low light rooms the best but if you have to put it in a well lit room, it will still provide a great picture. I just bought black out curtains in my bedroom and no issue at all. Apps run fantastic and easy to access. Setting it up was super easy with the new Goggle TV and linking your accounts. At the current price it's a no brainer for the 77 in category but even at full price worth every penny. Won't regret it.

This has been a great all-around TV for the family. I use it mainly for TV/streaming, and the kids use it to play Xbox/watch movies. We are looking forward to football season. The bigger size and awesome picture are a great combo. I was coming from an 11-year-old Panasonic plasma that I was a little apprehensive about letting go of, but I have not looked back. It's kind of a bummer that there's only one HDMI 2.1 port, but you probably only need one if you're running an AV receiver or game system/computer. That being said, the HDR on this TV is awesome, the only thing that sucks is finding free streaming content that supports things like dolby vision or 4K HDR. I've watched some sports and other TV shows and they look great too, this TV isn't cheap but it's pretty BA, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

However, if you need to use one of the HDMI 2.1 inputs (HDMI 3) for eARC to work, you'll only be left with one other HDMI 2.1 input for your new console or gaming PC. The C1 has a fantastic picture but I think they’re a little too saturated in my opinion, plus I really love the new Google TV and the stands for this television fitted best in my set up. Though the LG does have a more appealing price point compared to the Sony I still think the picture on the A80J is superior over the C1.

I then went home to debate whether to buy it. Later that evening, I turned on my 4 year old 4k Sony LCD television and upon viewing it I immediately asked myself, "What's wrong with my television, it looks horrible?" The picture looked that bad after experiencing OLED. It was at that point I decided I needed an OLED display. I caution anyone not to spend too long looking at an OLED for it will ruin all non OLED televisions!
