With the 77” you do not see as much detail, especially in people’s skin and face unless it is 4K. Plasma TV shows more, however this is sharper with more contrast. Wish the picture looked like it did at the store. Sound is excellent for a TV.

I have the LG C1 65 inch at our other house I like that one better the color is crisp. On the Sony with the picture set on vivid colors look crisp. I will probably be sending this one back for the LG C1. Just my preference.

Sony isn’t what it used to be…

Set up is a little quirky and it doesn’t like accessories. I had a difficult time getting BLueray to work and ultimately bought a new so I could watch movies. I bought a Sony to ensure compatibility. It does not like my Sonos Arc. I have to continuously reset it. Although the TV speakers are very good, I would like it to work with my Sonos consistently. For $3000 and being a Sony, it is a little disappointing. I have always bought Sony for it’s dependability, but that may not be true anymore or it’s just the state of the industry. Picture and sound are good, but if your accessories don’t work with it it may not matter.

Make sure to update the software version of the TV for optimum performance. Please also check the steps on the troubleshooting guide below and observe if the issue is fixed.
1. Restart both the TV and soundbar.
On the remote control, press and hold the Power button until the TV turns off.
2. If you haven't yet, please verify the HDMI cables you are using are rated for high speed and are at least 18 Gbps cables. Try replacing them if you have not.
3. Make sure to enable the eARC function for the TV and soundbar.
Go to [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Audio output] — [eARC mode]
4. Connect the Blu-ray player directly to the TV with the HDMI cable.
Check the HDMI settings, select HDMI Signal Format, and then select Enhanced format.
