At no point did the Best Buy sales rep mention that storage and streaming capacity would most likely run out after the first day of installing the TV. We had to call Sony and ask why it streaming was limited. Apparently 4K is not enough to stream all the apps you want, etc. and you need to purchase a USB port with additional capacity (like 8K and up). Apart from that, the TV itself is amazing with great picture quality and sound. It's a bit large and now with the USB issue, we may return it.

It has a bright, sharp picture but remember that 4K on a bigger screen, the pixel density is spread out over a larger area and is not quite as sharp as 4K on a smaller screen. Still, it's a beautiful set and I enjoyed watching World Cup games on the bigger screen. The sound is very good but lacks some base, so you can use a sound bar with it. Overall, I am very happy with this TV and will be watching it for the next 5-10 years.

77 Inch Sony Bravia review

We were told sideways viewing works well with this TV, and it does. And with the light from 8 foot tall triple sliding doors it doesn’t affect the picture quality with glare the way it would with other TV’s. My only complaint so far is that we’ve had two power hits during electrical storms. Both times the Wi-Fi information was blown away and had to be re-entered. I’m assuming a code bug that will be fixed in the future?

This replaced a Panasonic 65” plasma that up and croaked, and I wanted the next TV to be larger, OLED, & a Sony. Bingo, checked all the boxes. Image is great, and the modern integrations with external video sources (ex.: Dish, Apple TV, media server) and streaming capabilities is truly amazing. Electronics have gotten better and better. A+.

The software seems a bit buggy--quite a bit more than I would expect for an item at this price point: 1. I was streaming content (wifi), and I had an issue with a speaker wire. I switched to TV speakers, and then it told me that there was an error, and I should switch to another HDMI cable. I was STREAMING, not using HDMI. 2. I was streaming on Sling, and the video froze, but the audio kept going. That never happened when I used a Roku. 3. Streaming Sling, and audio would drop out for 2-3 seconds, fairly frequently. 4. Performed a software update, and then it wouldn't load the Sling app, telling me to "hang on" until it started the player, which it never did. Held the remote power button down to force a reset, which fixed the problem. 5. Sound went COMPLETELY out. Turning it off and on did not fix it, and resetting sound to factory settings did not work. Called a geek and was told to try unplugging the TV (that would have been my next thing to try). That got the audio back. 6. Switched from antenna to streaming sling, but it just froze on the sling logo. Had to recycle power. NONE of these problems occurred with my 2013 model Sony using a Roku. If I had known how quirky this TV was going to be, I would not have purchased it. On the positive side, when you can find a 4K source, it's a nice to look at, but I could have gotten that in an LG for a LOT LESS $$.

My wife and I are in our late 70s and when our main TV 65" Sony died we said as this will probably be our last TV we wanted to go as big as we could get into our space. When I saw this TV on display at Best Buy I fell in love with the picture and couldn't wait to get it in our house. The Geek Squad did a super job setting up our TV and we are now set. Color us very pleased.
