LG missed the mark on this one and SONY's panel is brighter despite the panels being the same. LG elected not to utilize a heatsink on their panel unlike Sony which allows Sony to achieve more brightness.

Not worth it

The screen also bleeds and stobs when you come out of some apps. The picture is nice but not 5k nice. Also, there are issues with the speakers I have the HTZ90F Sony sound bar and it crackles when moving cursor around. I was told the tv would also act as a middle channel sound bar but it doesn’t not. I have switched tvs once already and feel bad about that so I will keep it but my excitement for this tv has dwindled drastically.

We're sorry to hear that you're having issue with the BRAVIA XR83A90J OLED TV. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please restart the TV with the supplied remote control (easiest): Press and hold the POWER button until a menu appears → select Restart Press and hold the POWER button until Power off appears on the screen. Acoustic Center sync (using the tv as a center speaker) is compatible thru a component receiver or one of the 3 soundbars from Sony HTA7000,5000 & 3000. This feature has to be enabled thru the TV and or the SB to work. The SB you own doesn’t have that feature.

Posted .Hi Mark, thank you for sharing your feedback. While we're glad that you like the picture quality in 4K, we're sorry if the SD content did not meet your expectations. When a video in SD quality is being scaled up and played back, the quality will look poor, even on an HDTV. A video must have HD quality to be played back at high quality on an HDTV. A video with SD quality cannot be converted to HD quality or displayed in SD resolution without stretching. However, by adjusting the Sharpness and Picture Mode of the TV, the quality can be improved. For model-specific information about adjusting the Sharpness or Picture Mode options, check the specifications or supplied operations guide.
