Based on your description, a simple power reset can often resolve this. Please try unplugging the TV for 60 seconds and then plugging it back in. It’s in the basement, so need a sound bar since it seems like the sound is limited to around a small distance from the TV. But picture quality is great. I connect my phone remotely and works fine.

Definitely helps with the quality of picture which is definitely a major upgrade.

The build in speakers are a bit “tin sounding”, however, I don’t hold this against it for a review , as I doubt you’re buying this level of TV and not pairing it with some kind of external sound system. All in all I have no complaints about this product.
