We also have LG Samsung and Hisense U7 TV's in the house. So far the Sony is definitely the favorite. The picture is amazing and unlike our other TV's we don't have to constantly change the picture settings to achieve a great picture.

So the sony had to be it great picture nice size and kids can use it all day, and getting it for under $2000 was a steal. Thanks Best Buy!!!!

Processing is best in the game and worth the premium price. This is a TV that performs well above its specs. The picture is spectacular even viewing lower quality content i.e. TV. I would summarize the X90L as an overachiever; Sony processing is simply magic. I got the 85inch version. I ended up choosing the Sony over the Samsung QN90C and Hisense U8K sets and am happy I did; The color tuning and overall picture definition is superior. I have friends and family who have the other sets and after comparing the images of the others to the X90L, I prefer the refinement of the Sony.

You have to change the picture settings to custom because if the formats are adjusted by the TV, it will sometimes glitch into a split screen. Aside from that, the TV works well and has a great picture. The smart TV apps allow us to use it without a roku. At the price point, this TV is an excellent value and a great balance of price, quality, and size.

Another Great TV With Terrible Software

Leave it unplugged for a few minutes and then plug it back in. And it'll work fine for a month. Then it will develop some new bug. Screen lagging or just completely not working, YouTube not appearing on screen, Wifi disabling itself. So you unplug it, the TV sorts itself out, and then it works again. Can we just get a $2,000.00 TV with good software for a change? Other than the software, it's an excellent TV.

Software Update: Ensure your TV's software is up to date. Software updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements. You can check for updates by going to Settings → System Software Update → Software Update or Check for a system software update.
Instead of unplugging the TV from the power outlet, please try to press and hold down the power button on the remote for 5-10 seconds. This should do a power cycle on the TV.

My wife and I debated on this TV versus the one step below and once we viewed the 90L compared to other manufacturers the decision was made. For the price of this TV compared to the picture quality and color depth and accuracy you get from other brands, the Sony wins hands down. They also are much better at upscaling lower resolutions by far than others, so the choice is not difficult. There is a slightly higher premium for the Sony brand, but it is well worth it if you’re looking for the best picture you can get with the current technology.
