Any Sony tv is a good purchase

Seeing as how we don't upgrade too frequently, it is obvious that the picture in this 4k is much better than the one we previously owned. We use it in our living room to watch TV, sports, movies, and all the streaming things we do. We walked in to the store on black Friday to get a Samsung that was on mega sale, but ended up getting this instead. It works very well, looks terrific, was priced right, and has a wide angle to view. We are very happy with the purchase. Best Buy Geek Squad installed it perfectly as well, and explained how the remote works, which is good because there are no external buttons on the television itself.

85” 120Mhz TV better than going out to movies

We have a large room, but the 85” 120Mhz screen is like being at the movies from 15 to 20 feet away. Built-in Android OS was easy to set up, has built-in additional Apps for AppleTV, Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc. Also, if you download Google TV to your phone, anyone in the family can use their phone as a remote control to the TV (arrow/select, keyboard, and voice controls all work). The picture is gorgeous. When I was in the store, the picture stood out from other TVs. Just make sure you buy the sturdiest wall mounting bracket you can get if mounting to the wall like I did. I was glad I spent a little extra for a heavy-duty wall mount.

I come from having a Samsung and this Sony blows away the dark colors of my Samsung. I really like the menu and remote. Only downside to this TV is the TV speakers. They are okay nothing to brag about. But most TVs now do not have very powerful built in speakers. Would recommend to buyer who watches dark movies as well as action. If your hanging this on a wall get a mount that will hold a lot of weight. This TV is over 100 pounds.

Great TV with one major drawback

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being just an LED TV, nothing close to QLED or OLED, which are much more expensive TVs, this one checks all the boxes as far as picture quality, refresh rate, contrast and connectivity. However, there is one small issue I have ran in to. After a couple of days, the SONY X85J will lose connectivity with my WIFI. The TV will not let me turn WIFI back on. If I try this, when you leave the menu and go back, WIFI will still be turned off. The only way to fix this is to reboot the TV completely. I have Google WIFI and none of my other 45 devices have any issues with WIFI. So, I'm going to chalk this one up to purely a SONY issue. This nocks 2 stars off a relatively nice TV.
