Terrible TV and customer service

We paid for additional protection because Tatiana who sold us the TV said it could “literally fall off the wall” and Best Buy would cover it. She said that knowing we were installing ourselves, but later told us that she said that meaning only if Best Buy was installing (to clarify the tv did not fall off the wall). Sony would not cover the tv because it’s still under warranty through Best Buy, and they think it was physical damage (it was not). The TV was working perfect in the morning. We left the house (no one home, dog crated), came home to turn the tv on and there were lines in it (we also have security cameras- no one came into the house). I will not buy a Sony television or shop at Best Buy again. They were no help and I was so patient through the process.

I was sold a sale item, told it would have to come from the warehouse on Dec 9th, set delivery for Dec 23, never contacted by anyone. Inquired on the chat line 2 days prior to delivery and told order was not available in warehouse and could not be ordered. Went through 5 reps on the chat line, tried to up sale me from a $800 TV to a $1,100 as a reasonable solution. What a joke! You people knew the order could not be filled yet NO one ever called to tell me differently. One of the worst, and most disorganized sales experiences I have ever had from a so-called reputable company. Sell things you don't have, but say you have, then don't even call to advise there will not be a delivery. Stupidity and fraud, all in the same transaction. There is no star rating for this.
