We were torn between a projector and this TV and based on our sales consultant we went with the TV. Well needless to say we are extremely happy with the purchase. With the large windows and patio door in the room it still has no problem overpowering the ambient light in the room.

Replaces my Samsung 75" that I bought in 2017 at twice the price. One-Control box broke and could not find a replacement. Piece of crap in my opinion. Went back to Sony since I still have a 55" in my bedroom that I bought more than 10 years ago and it's still going strong. Hopefully this 85" lasts as long.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a X95j and returned it for this TV...although the x 95j has a better picture, it was not worth the extra money, which I saved and bought a PS5 and like 20 games...the update for VRR is live and it does function with my PS5 and I am able to run high FPS HDR 4K with Ray tracing and this thing handles it all. Movies do look good on this TV, they don't have the same "pop" as the x 95j, but honestly the difference is subtle. Both of them are not OLED so for me I didn't see the point in owning the x95j when I could own this and a PS5 and 4 controllers and a bunch of games...and my family agreess.

To get the color definition you will need to adjust the color or maybe put it on VIVID in the settings area. Overall, a great TV for the price. But I advise spending the money you save to get a really good soundbar and speakers to improve your experience. OVERALL, a good investment.
