Great 85 inch TV!

UI is fast and responsive. 4k120hz support with HDMI 2.1. Picture looks great, there are some better models, but they are either way too expensive, or you cannot find it in 85 inch.

Not too big...

So glad I went with the 85". Viewing distance is about 9.5' away and it is not too big. I love the Android interface which is one of the reasons I selected Sony. It is easy to navigate and works smoothly on this set.

Beautiful 85"

The room demanded a larger screen and 85" fits the bill. I was leery about picture quality being used to plasma black levels. I am happy to report that between local dimming and HDR the picture quality is amazing. To get OLED I would have spent $1000+ more for only 77". I'll take the size and savings. I have this paired with a Panasonic UB820P and an Apple TV 4k. Even standard Blu-rays look fantastic, but UHD Blu-rays are just amazing. Apple TV 4k content is also great, especially Netflix (my favorite so far is The Umbrella Academy for picture and sound - love it!) I use the TV as a home theater monitor in a dark room. I don't use any of the streaming , eARC, or other features. I am currently using the supplied leg/feet which are very deep (~17"). It's not pretty, but it keeps the screen nice and low. I will eventually wall-mount it just for a cleaner install.

This is about as much as we where wanting to spend on an upgrade so the Black Friday/Elite Plus price made the Wife order quick. I can't wait till they make a new Dolby Vision 4K UHD Blu-Ray player to replace my Sony ES 4K player.

The “smart” features of the tv are sluggish and “restart” at times. It seems as though once it’s up and running, it is ok but has issues initializing prime video, Netflix, PBS and other apps sometimes. Just frustrating for me when you’re buying what is supposed to be a high end tv.

First word of caution - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOUNT THIS BY YOURSELF. This TV is heavy and you'll need all the help you can get to mount it. Make sure to do your homework with the placement and mounting of the TV. Connecting my devices was a breeze. This is my first smart TV. Picture quality is amazing. Crystal clear movies. Gaming on this is insane and so is watching sports. I did not need to use my firestick remote any more as the Sonys remote worked well in its stead. I do however need to use the Shield remote as the Sonys remote did not integrate with the Shield. Watch youtube videos on how to calibrate your TV for best experiences with movies, games and sports. If you don't want to go that route, the built in settings are good as well. Overall very pleased with purchase.

I’ve been wanting to purchase this model for about 6 months and finally got it! I have nothing bad to say about it! My whole family loves it! I plan on getting a new surround sound set up to go with it even though speakers sound good. Only problem is that I didn’t get extended warranty when I purchased it right before Xmas and thought I could get it within my return date and I called to see how I can add it and was told I had to bring it back to the store to do that. I had to have it delivered and left at garage because of pandemic. I don’t have a way to take back an 85 inch tv and don’t go anywhere because of my health. I guess all I can do is hope that it never has any problems! Overall very happy! Just wish I could FaceTime the tv to show nothing is wrong with it and get the extended warranty. Thanks

Very user friendly with the menus and a press of a button, it takes you to all of the streaming apps. Now this part is one of my favorite features. The smart hub for this TV uses the Invidia Shield software, in short it’s the same darn thing. This made me happy and sad at the same time because 3 months prior, I paid over $200 to buy the new Invidia Shirld streaming box. This TV comes with it. Finally, the picture will blow your mind, the X1 chip is out of this world with how responsive and vivid the quality of the picture really is. I can’t say anything bad about this TV, I highly recommend this beast of a TV to anyone. I never write reviews, only when I feel something deserves my time to sit down and write one and this TV has done that, Sony went all out here.

To get the most out of your X900H, we recommend updating its firmware to the latest version (v6.0414). The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. After the latest firmware is installed, while the TV is on press and hold the power button and choose reset when the option pops up.
If the issue persists, please try following the steps below to isolate the problem:
• The Wi-Fi signal strength is weak
- Place the router close to your TV, then check if the signal strength has improved.
• Your TV is too close to the router
- It is recommended that the TV and router be at least 1 meter (3 feet) apart.
• Other devices are connected to the same network
- If other devices are downloading large-sized files, such as videos, the network speed may slow down. Cancel or wait until this activity completes and try again.
• Restart your TV and reset your router
- To restart your TV, press and hold the POWER button on the remote control for about five seconds until Power off appears on the TV screen.
- To reset the router, check your router manual for instructions.
• Interference from other wireless devices
- If multiple wireless devices or electric equipment, such as microwave ovens, are used at home, it may affect the Wi-Fi performance of your TV. Power off these devices when not in use, or keep them away from your TV.
- Electromagnetic interference may also occur depending on the location of the TV. If possible, change its location and check if the performance improves.
• Check the frequency band setting of your router (for dual-band routers)
- Some routers support multiple frequencies (ex: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz), if your router supports this feature, try a different frequency.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The X900H has full fat Dolby Vision TV LED it will Amazing when you watch movies in Dolby Vision via the VUDU app. It come with the ATSC 3.0 Tuner It has HDMI 3.1 for the XBOX Series X and PS 5 do paly games at 4k 120Hz for smooth playback. I have the 85" in a Guest Bed Room, That I have converted into a Theater\Game\Guest Room; I was considering a 65" or a 75" for I felt that the 85" would be to lager for the room, But after getting it home and setting it up on a Chmielewski TV Stand for TVs up to 85" I was so happy it is not to large for a small room it is so professional looking on the stand and with the red curtains and the white Mainstays Memory Foam Pillowtop Futon with Cupholders, Vanilla Faux Leather from Walmart for $200 it feel like I am at the moies.

We utilize a Denon Receiver with Klipsch Atmos speakers for sound so really cannon comment to the quality of the internal speakers
