After a research through the internet and the explanation given by the Best Buy employee, we decided to buy this camera. It is easy to use with a good quality.

The reason to buy a Sony 6000 series camera is the autofocus system: absolutely industry leading in every way. That said, however, there is no other compelling reason to buy a Sony 6000 series camera: • It feels like a computer, not a camera. • extraordinarily poor physical design (everything has to be operated with the same thumb) • Too few manual controls on-body (see Fuji and Olympus for the way to do it) • No Image Stabilization (Olympus puts it in far less expensive cameras and it is industry best) • Worst menu system on the market • expensive lens lineup • Poor build quality • No fun to shoot with. • excessive noise at high ISO (my micro 4/3 has less noise on a MUCh smaller sensor) • Poor colour science (see Fuji) BUT: it DOES have KILLER autofocus, and that may be enough. I'll be keeping mine because I have a 4 year old and I don't want to miss the moments...but the day Fuji or Olympus AF catches up, this thing will be on a yard sale table.

We’re going on a trip of a lifetime to Alaska and wanted a good camera to take amazing pictures of the wildlife, scenery, beautiful views, the sunset and us. My husband is fully bought in to getting great photos, even though I am the picture queen. With over 80k photos on my iPhone 15 Pro Max alone, he wants pictures with an actual camera. He has read the manual, watches tutorials, and even phoned a photographer friend to teach him all about the settings, shutter speed, lenses, angles and so on. I will say, he has taken some great practice shots so far with everything he has learned by being dedicated to learning this camera and the technical piece of photography. Me on the other hand, I’m a point and shoot kinda photo taker. No fuss, no lessons, just see something and want to take the picture in the moment. My practice photos… not so great. They came out blurry, never captured the true beauty of the sunset, and, in my opinion, was too difficult to be able to just pick up and go. Long story short, our trip is in 2 weeks and I’ll be taking my iPhone as a camera and he will be capturing everything from the our new fancy camera. We couldn’t figure out how to connect it to our WiFi to send pics to our phones so we may need to wait to share the amazing shots of our trip with friends and family upon our return. Also it doesn’t come with a case or portable battery charger. We purchased those separately. We also got an SD card separate, that will hold a bazillion photos and videos. We purchased at The Rim Best Buy and did store pick up. Now that was fast and easy! 4 stars because I’m too lazy to do all the things my husband did to learn this camera and the point and shot (automatic setting) didn’t give me ease of use with the desired outcome I’d hoped for.

This camera is a game changer for my podcast and content creation. The pictures and video are beautiful

Best bang for the buck if you want professional quality photos on a budget. The standard kit lens is ok. The 55-210 one, though, is pretty great. I was able to do some positioning tricks with it to get portraits with solid bokeh. I bought a Sigma 16mm 1.4 lens for the base, and it’s such a glorious combo. Again, this is a fantastic starting point with a lot of room to grow, as you get more experienced.

I’ve always liked the way Sony cameras feel and work. There are cheaper cameras out there, but if you are thinking about getting into photography seriously, this is a great camera. It is very easy to use and the quality of the photos is great.

Amazing camera! Best beginner camera ever! Definitely would recommend getting a good prime lens or something along those lines that is sharper! But overall amazing quality!

We bought this camera for our daughter for her 21st birthday and she just loves it. Easy to use and the pictures she took of our dogs with this camera are just incredible.
