Camera is ok but would have preferred the btter model I purchaes first for less until "it was no longer available for pick up" had to settle last minute before a trip.

Camera is great! We use for blogging as well as photos. There us a learning curve as the camera has a lot of settings. I wouldn’t say this is a beginners camera.

This is a great mirrorless. Huge upgrade from A6000.

This camera is great for those new to pictures and video. As you learn more about taking better photos and videos this camera has all the settings and adjustments to continue to grow as your skills do.

I am loving the camera so far. I think it is bit pricey at the full price. Save some money to get a good lens.

I purchased it as a Christmas gift. The sales representative working with me failed to tell me that it came without any lenses. So unfortunately we now have to hunt down some lens that would be appropriate for the camera we purchased. I wish they had told me that to begin with and I would have purchased lens or I would not have bought that particular item I spent $700 for something that couldn't be used on Christmas Day

I really dislike this camera. I bought it after using Nikon and Canons for many many years for the intent of using it for video. The tint is incredibly yellow and, even with the Sony picture profiles, I can’t get it right on this camera. I haven’t even used it to record anything after testing it, but I can’t return it because it’s now a few days passed the 15 day return policy. It is truly my most-regretted purchase I’ve ever made. I’ve since bought a different Sony camera and it’s wonderful, but I’m not sure what I can do with this one.

not a keeper, get the a7iii, better platform better battery full frame heaven this is not worth the 1000 dollars they want for it

I did not receive the product in the condition stated. It was marked as excellent, but I was missing a lens cap and the dial was very sticky to the point that the camera was unusable. Best buy was also unwilling to replace the unit.

This camera is a life saver for budget camera builds. It has a high shutter speed and INSANE photo quality, It fits perfectly in your hand and has quick and easy settings for beginners. The one downside is the battery life, it could last you up to 5-6 hours if you are using it often enough, but you rarely have to charge it. AMAZING CAMEREA EVEN IN 2025 Would recommend

Solid camera for beginners with photo and maybe video, however the rolling shutter is so bad if you to h the Tripp’s handle the image goes to jello.

This camera is horrible. The colors are horrific. My iPhone takes better photos than this camera. Don’t waste your money. If I wasn’t past the return date, I would return it.

I shot on Nikon for years before moving into Sony mirrorless. I currently own an a6000 and an a7ii and am very familiar with them. I was looking for something to shoot video with (specifically YouTube and interview videos) so I liked that this didnt have the 30 minute limit. I had no clue how many advances had been made since the a6000 was released. I try to avoid new camera info because it always leads to me getting excited and buying one. The flip up screen is great and I love being able to monitor myself while recording. I know you can always add a monitor to other cameras (I even own one) but when I have a video idea I want to get it going as quickly. That means I usually forgo looking for the monitor and hoping Im in the shot correctly. The videos have come out INCREDIBLE so far and Im beyond happy with the purchase. The only thing Im not excited for is re-configuring all of my custom buttons and menus but thats the case with any new camera and if thats my biggest issue then life is pretty good :) If you own an a6000 or are looking for a camera that does both video and photography really well then definitely give this a good, hard look. If you're sitting there with an a6300 or a6500 then the decision to upgrade (or is it sidegrade?) is a little trickier. Go to a camera store and test it out... if you love the a6300 then youll absolutely love this camera but if you have the a6300 then you most likely dont *need* this camera. If that makes any sense.

You can get this cheaper on amazon just wait the right timing. I should have done the same. I usually get regret after buying something from best buy

Had it for a week and the touch screen is completely black and won't turn on. Buy the insurance!!!

Image quality is pretty good and the color science is much better than their older line of mirrorless cameras. Not great for videos or vlogging. The bitrate is very low, poor rolling shutter performance and no IBIS.

Despite it being almost 3 times less than the price of the A7R3 I had previously (accidentally destroyed it with Diet Coke…), this camera provides almost all the functionalities you need to take great photos as a prosumer! The lenses I had for the full frame fit perfectly here and helped take some amazing photos on our trip to Australia and New Zealand. Def worth a buy if you are on a tighter budget.
