Great Camera with a Learning curve

There’s d3finitely a learning curve as Sony’s formatting isn’t user friendly but once you get the hang of it you’ll be fine. Purchased this on sale and in excellent condition.

This camera delivers all that and has great battery life (which the A7RII lacks). I like the image quality, eye focus AF, and built-in pop-up flash. The 18-135mm lens is compact and great for traveling. Image quality of the lens is acceptable. For better image quality, I recommend grabbing some prime lenses with a lower f-stop number. Sony camera menu is known to be difficult to use, so I recommend picking up a guide book (such as “The Friedman’s Archives Guide to Sony’s A6400”) to learn more about the camera.

I have the a7ii and have been wanting to upgrade to the a7iii. Well I didn't find out until later that the a6400 has some of the features that the a7iii has including animal eye focus. So now I've been using this camera to take pictures of my dogs and birds in the yard. The 18-135mm is a great walk around/travel lens as it covers a wide range. The only downside to this camera is that my zeiss 35mm f2.8 fits a little too tight and feels like it's going to break the mount.

Amazing Camera

The pictures it takes are amazing and the interchangeable lenses give a lot of longevity and flexibility to the body. The detail that is capable by a legitimate camera compared to even the most expensive smartphones is night and day. You graduate from a phone and get a legitimate camera and it’s difficult to go backwards. You get used to the clarity and fantastic results provided by a mirrorless camera. I highly recommend this camera if you’re looking into upping the quality of your photos.

One of the best APSC Cameras on the Market

It has a 6k sensor that is downsampled to 4k which also means you can use digital zoom up to 1.5x without losing native resolution in 4k and up to 2x in 1080p. The 18-135 has stabilization in the lens which helps since the A6400 lacks IBIS. The e-mount line of lenses is a strong lineup. I've also got the Sigma 16mm and 30mm e-mount apsc lenses as well now. The menu is the biggest downsides of the camera. It's extremely complicated and not well organized.
