Not Much of an Upgrade

It really ain't much of an upgrade. I returned it because it was missing the joy stick and it only has 1 SD card slot. It's not even CF Express compatible. I knew this going in, but didn't think it was gonna bother me. The A7c II is pretty much an A7 IV, with a few software upgrades and hardware downgrades.

All around great choice

Takes absolutely stunning photos. The auto mode having different presets for what you’re shooting is a huge help for beginners. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Worthy upgrade for full frame enthusiasts

Been wanting to upgrade for a while but the A7 iii and A7 iv bodies have grown bigger with each generation. Thank goodness for the A7C ii, which brings all the latest features and performance of the newer models but in a body that retains the original A7’s best feature — its compactness. If you can snag an A7C (first gen) on sale, thats still a tempting buy for the price, but if you’re looking for a Sony full-frame with the latest autofocus (its pretty darn amazing) that’ll travel well and last for years to come, the A7Cii is close to ideal.

However, the viewfinder and the display are lower resolution than comparable full sized* full frame cameras in this price range.
