Best Sony camera for photography in the market. Must buy

Where to start? I began shooting 8 years ago and have always loved the idea of a smaller camera, but I never once thought I could get BETTER photo quality, too! It's incredible, the detail you get is something beyond, and if you want to, you can drop the resolution to save some space on your memory card. Most importantly - as a semi-pro shooter, WORKFLOW IS MUCH BETTER on this, eye-autofocus works like magic, I find myself being able to focus on the shoot and composition, instead of having to readjust the focus to find the model's eyes all the time. Extremely happy with this purchase. Getting an Alpha 7RiV is the best decision you'll ever make in camera choices.

One of the best digital camera's I've ever owned! And I've owned many in the past 30 years! I've tried the Nikon Z Mirrorless camera and can honestly say that this Sony Alpha camera beats it hands down! Sony has done a remarkable job with the engineering of this camera. I haven't discovered anything negative to share about it yet. Do your homework on this camera, I believe you will be very happy if you purchase it. BTW, if you were a Nikon DSLR owner like I was, you can purchase an adapter to utilize your lens for this camera!

This camera is awesome, finally Sony hit all the marks. Ergonomics, menus, sensor quality, it is all here. As someone that has been in the A7 lineup since the first A7s, I can tell you that every camera series has improved, but this is perfect, and a great place for people thinking about still making the jump to land. Is it worth it if you already have a A7R Mark III, I think so, all of the comfort features are greatly improved and you get an amazing 62MP of sensor quality.

Great camera ...61 mp reso...and has pixel shift multi shoot capability for even more detail. Hopefully you have plenty of storage available.

For weddings I needed to get a 2nd body to go with my A7 III. I had been waiting awhile to see when Sony would come out with the A7 IV but time ran out so I had to pull the trigger to get a2nd body before my next wedding. I chose this beast for the ability of high resolution, and even being able to "cheat" and get closer focal lengths by using the crop feature which turns it into 24 MB image. Only thing I must mention is that at such a high resolution it is more important watch your focus! You may need to stop down the aperture to make sure everything you want is in focus.

This camera is able to resolve incredible amounts of detail and it still has the best photography sensor in its class, as well as shoot some extremely crispy 4K. And even though it shoots the same 4K video codecs as the other Sony models, it does so with unlimited record times, video eye autofocus, a digital hot shoe to be used with Sony's digital shotgun mic and XLR adapters for improved audio quality. Right now it's my favorite photography leaning hybrid camera on the market. I enjoy the ehnahcements made to the body over my old A7III and A7RIII, as well the better EVF.

Great camera. Video is also great but stills is it's strength. AF is greatly improved over the 3 which I also have. This is a better camera in every way

I would highly recommend to research this camera before buying to first understand its strengths (high MP gives greater crop flexibility) vs it's weaknesses (high MP gives noisier images as ISO moves up). It is not the ideal camera for those night images where one thinks to compensate by bumping ISO to extremely high levels. On the other hand taking images of landscapes or wildlife from afar, this camera has no current competition. What impressed me most was the richness of the colors in images when I compared with another Sony a6000 and a Nikon d5600.

The reviews I read called this model King of still photography. I was slightly hesitant. However right from day one I have never from being amazed. Superb picture quality . Color details is excellent. Always been a fan of Nikon- d850, z6. This is go to camera for still photography. You have to crop significantly for motion photography. There are some good presets available in the professional blogs, definitely recommend getting it - you have to be come a participant (free). Sony lens recommended for getting the best out of the product.

I have been using this camera for a few months now and love it. I switched from Canon to Sony and it hasn't disappointed me so far. The autofocus never seems to miss. However, you must know that the auto eye detect focus struggles a bit if rest of the face is heavily covered. It seems to handle well in cold well below the specs as well. The menu and settings may be a little bit of a learning curve coming from a different brand but once you get a hand of it, you can fully customize all the buttons

When you thought the A7R series couldn't get any better, it delivers once again with a 61-Megapixel sensor. This camera is made for professionals and it really shows through the results. The body feels fantastic! It actually feels like a real camera now. The previous versions weren't as comfortable when it came to the grip and buttons. This camera will change your workflow. I'm impressed with both the build and technology.

Love this camera, was concerned about low light performance coming from an a7 III but was still blown away. It is a little more finicky as the noise is more noticeable, but mostly I don't see more noise shooting them side by side. It is more that the noise is easier to see see with the high resolution I feel. The photos that I feel I can't use seem to be photos I wouldn't have even had on the a7 III.

Excellent quality mirror less high Meg camera. I have always been a Nikon and Lieca shooter. But when it came to compare the Nikon VS Sony top end series. I chose the Sony Alpha R7III with 70-200mm and the 28-70 2.8. I will look into the macro lens and doubler next. I have not had the time to fully grasp the camera yet as I have been hospilized for Covid almost 3 weeks. Can't wait to be able to try it out.
