This camera has done everything I have wanted out of it and more. The quality is on point and very user friendly. The zoom could be a bit better but with the purchase of another lense that solved that issue. Great product and would recommend to a friend.

I can definitely see that this wouldn't be the perfect camera for a real hardcore enthusiast but for someone for a nice everyday use camera this has been great. Great pictures, fast response. Would recommend 10 times out of 10

Great camera for a beginner like myself. Very easy to use and comes with a few advanced features like remote use from the PC or phone which are very useful. The built in flash is more than adequate for those night shots.

Camera is okay for a new photographer. Lenses can used with my Sony a6000 as well. Got it for a backup to the a6000. Found that a viewfinder is much faster to use, than the 3" screen on the a5000. Selfie mode is so so. Camera is just too close for selfies. All in all, I got it an excellent price and as a backup camera.

The retractable lens is so convenient to vlog or take selfies.

decent camera with good sensor and interchangeable lens capability. light and easy to use but the digitally powered starter lens with zoom is wonky. i like the zoom range and i apply it often but it can stick and do odd things when used over time.

I just love how fast it is when shooting continuous. A great buy.

So this camera is great for people that have some knowledge with camera settings and want a product that was built with quality. It took great pictures and had a lot of options but I ended up returning this one to upgrade for the a6000.

I want to have a compact system camera with retractable lens long time ago. I like this Sony - Alpha a5000. This wireless mirrorless SLR-like camera takes very good quality photos without a flash.

I am a makeup artist and I have been looking for a good camera for a while to take pictures of my work. My photos have improved 1000% since I've started using the A5000. Great for beauty shots and portraits.
