Great All-Purpose Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little skeptical about this camera at first -- I had been using a DSLR for years and wasn't really sure I'd like the mirrorless. I needed something smaller and lighter and I had initially ordered a "bridge" camera (a point and shoot with an extended zoom) but I decided to cancel my order once I started playing around with this camera in the store. I've found this little Sony to be a great middle ground between my iPhone and my (now former) DSLR. I love that it has the ease of use of a point-and-shoot but when I feel like making manual adjustments I'm able to and it's small and compact enough that I can toss it in a purse or work bag and not worry about it taking up too much space; even with the telephoto lens. Yes, there are some things that are left to be desired on this model, but for the price, weight and overall photo quality, I have no complaints. I had initially worried that the mirrorless technology wasn't quite up to par yet, but having played around with this camera for almost 2 months and taken a few thousand pictures, it's perfect for casual photography and I'm extremely happy to have made the switch.
