I bought this camera to be my general purpose camera but also to take product pictures. It is very easy to use and I have had good results.

Received this as a Christmas present and am super pleased with the camera overall...the quality of the photos it takes, the ease of transferring those photos directly to my phone so I can share on social media or email them instantly, the ease of maneuvering through the functions. One of the best presents I've gotten in a long time!

I checked out the camera for a few weeks. Looking at reviews and testimonies from various reviewers. Several professional photographers gave some in-dept reviews and comparisons against some full size DSLR's that were not beginner level but top of the line cameras. This compact camera held it's own with these cameras and some of its features were better. So when I found this camera as an open box, I jumped on it and I can say I have not been disappointed. Very pleased with this camera. I had a Pentax K-X, so I'm not new to cameras.

This has been the best camera I have ever owned. The pictures come out so clear. And what could be better than to have a video option too.

Purchased because I wanted better photos than my phone was capable of AND I wanted to be able to easily share on social media. This is a great camera overall, you can let the camera do everything for you or you can set it in all manual mode where you control everything. AND has a great wifi feature that you can download photos to your phone.

I use this camera for my youtube channel. It has been amazing for that. Just recently I also was able to set the settings to switch between video and photos. This feature was perfect for meeting up with family the last week. I was able to get a lot of great photos and a lot of great video at the same time. I highly recommend!

I was in the Best buy store recently and they didn't have any of these cameras in stock. The sales staff offered the display model for sale at a discount price. Upon setting this up I noticed that the lens was not getting detected by the camera. I had the option to return it right away for a refund but i really wanted the camera after reading all the great reviews , so i called Sony service instead because display units & Open box items also come with a full 1 year warranty. They setup a repair with Precision Camera in CT (authorized service center). I shipped it to them the very next day. To my amazement Precision Camera shipped it back the very next day after receiving it ! Not only was the lens optical block replaced, the whole camera was spotlessly clean - better than new - if there is such a condition - for free under warranty ! I have taken over 700 photos in the past few weeks alone. Tried each and every mode and setting (almost !) and the results were really fantastic. Coming from some very good point and shoot cameras, this was great step up especially loving the fact that there is so much control over photo composition and capture settings.

It is a good camera to carry rather than big SLR camera..But i still have go through its functions. The negative thing is the selection mode is not outside.

Great camera, easy to use. Can be an auto focus or manual as the user preference dictates. Wonderful pictures excellent when enlarged.

So I purchased this cam bc I'm a hairstylist and needed more pro pics. It is amazeballs! The pics are awesome and the settings are easy to use. I bought a tripod and ring light and I'm on ! The wifi Bluetooth is SUPER easy and smooth. It goes to your phone really easily and fast. I'm happy I bought it. It's really a upgrade.

For any mom who wants to capture those cute moments of your baby...this camera takes very clear pictures and color looks great!

I bought this camera for my wife for Christmas, and she is using in NYC as I type this. She has sent me several pictures using the built-in WiFi, and I must say that I am very impressed. And considering that she is a beginning photographer, the ease of use for her is what I was looking for. She is still learning all the tricks, but I believe that she will be happy with it for the rest of her life!

if they only had the a5000 still at best buy i would probably buy another just for a back up camera nothing to fancy as i don't wanna carry my other camera around sometimes, but this camera you get the WiFi the flip out screen the ability to change lens and one crisp clean shot as well video. i high recommend

This Sony has been my first big camera purchase and it has not let me down! I absolutely love it and recomend it to everyone!

Bought this camera for a school trip to DC. Wanted a compact but had no idea a compact was available with all these features!

Good for short videos, blogging, great for selfies or just family photos, just all around good camera for under $500

This camera is nice and compact like a point and shoot, but has all the capabilities of a DSLR. It's a great camera for beginners and for those who understand how to use a camera, the functions are so easy to navigate and it outperforms many other mirrorless cameras. I love the way the LCD flips up too!
