Worst purchase ever. Average to below average photos..my smartphone takes better quality photos. I tried using it over a period of several weeks and finally shoved it into a dark corner of the closet where it has been now for over a year. Don’t waste your money.

I am so glad I bought this camera. I am an amateur for sure, and have not bought a camera in many years. This was serious upgrade from a cheap point and shoot camera I have used for years that takes not so great pictures when conditions are not absolutely perfect.

Just getting familiar and impressed--this is much more than a "point and shoot" camera. SONY's Alpha line is getting high marks in all reviews and the only minus I see so far is no viewfinder. There is a good-sized LCD screen, however.

I bought this for my sister for an international trip...she was planning on dragging a large and heavy low-end DSRL that is about 8 years old and this camera outperforms the craw out of the old DSRL!

Not easy to use out of the box. Nor intuitive. Too slow.

Not user friendly for function selection a bit unclear

light, compact, takes great pictures. Bought it for my daughter and she really likes it. She would have been a bit happier if the camera also had a a eye lens (instead of only a view camera), but she still loves it.

The Sony Alpha a5000 camera was just the digital camera that my wife needed! It is small yet extremely versatile. The addition of a telephoto lens made the outfit complete!

This camera is my new favorite baby aside from my dslr, because it is so compact and takes great photos. This camera is great for selfie/picture addicts like myself, I love that the screen flips! GET IT!

nothing about this camera is particularly great. Ok sensor, AF, and features given the price. IF you are looking for a simple and good camera in a small package this may be for you

The Customer Rep listened to the specifics of what my daughter was looking for. Spent time going over pros and cons of various cameras, before suggesting this one. Aa little bit pricier, but over & above our expectations!

This is prob one of the best cameras I've ever used. The picture quality is great even when zoomed in!

Quality is spot on. Easy to handle. So many amazing features. Only drawback, it's not user friendly. The manual doesn't explain the features very well to optimize its full potential. Had to google / YouTube to learn.

This is a nice starter camera, a beginner's device that allows you to start playing with and get more familiarize your self with zoom, steady stabilisation and it allows you to grow as a novice photographer.

It was overwhelming for me to use my Nikon Dslr. This camera has the same quality but it is so easy to use. I got a great deal on the sale Best Buy was having. I love this camera.

I take a lot of pictures. I almost always have a camera in my hand. I use and the zoom feature for sporting events. I use the zoom for weddings, graduations, birthdays, and many other occassions.

camera performs great... still getting use to all features... sales person was very informed per camera... satisfied with purchase...

Amazing in low light. Night shots of stars came out beautiful with no noticeable streaking of stars with the right settings. The image quality is right up there with SLR's.

I needed an easy to use camera. Best buy associate showed me different cameras to choice from and this was the right one for me.

The Sony camera takes great photos at lighting speed.
