This is a very user friendly camera the only downside to this camera is no manual! You have to download it!

I was looking to get into photography and I chose this model because of the great ratings and features. I'm really happy about the quality of the pictures I take and again because of the included features. The one feature though that is missing and now that I know is pretty essential is the viewfinder. You'll find it hard to see at times when its sunny and a lot of glare on your lcd screen. Also I'm finding out that a "hot shoe" for extra lighting would've been nice. But for the price and all the other features, this camera is pretty nice. I'll just give it to my daughter and get myself the A6 which does include the viewfinder and "hot shoe".

I wanted to get a camera that would work with lens's from an older Minolta camera. My research led me to the Sony brand cameras. I found several different models and Best Buy had an a5100 in my price range. The camera works well with the 'MD' lens (adapter needed) but the automatic features of the camera work as well if not better. A nice versatile camera for a beginner like me.

As an amateur using this camera, this camera took great photos. Took on European vacation and was amazed at the quality. Better than my iPhone 6s, way better! Battery life was better than expected and didn’t need to take a spare or charge during the day. Suppose If you used lots of flash that would eat up battery life. Overall a nice camera, small enough, and great pics!

After using several Sony products, I reviewed this camera as well as the 6100. I bought thudded I've because it could be used to send over wi-fi. The camera is easy to use, many options that I have yet to learn, and I like the fact that it is a little lighter than my other SLR. The only thing I wish it had was a hotshoe fit a separate flash. Overall, very satisfied.

I purchased this camera based on the size, pixels and the reviews I read . I was happy with the picture and video quality and want to reinforce the good ratings on this product.

Very happy with this camera. Takes excellent photos and video and is easy to bring places with its compact size. We have a dlsr also but never use it now since the quality of this is good enough and convenience is great. Not an expert reviewer here, but satisfied with it for the price paid.

If you're past the point and shoot stage, but NOT quite ready for a DSLR, this is a great camera. You get a good blending of features, especially with the large touch screen in the back; and you get the ability to change lenses to adjust for different shooting situations. We caught this on sale for my daughter and husband for their anniversary, and its proven to be very good for taking shots of the granddaughter, who will soon be three (as of this writing).

This is a great camera, but I wanted to primarily shoot video with, and it's a mediocre video camera. I also don't like that to unlock certain features, like time lapse photography, you have to purchase a separate app.

Read some reviews online and decided to purchase this camera. Everything is great from the lightweight body along with the ability to change lenses from a wide variety. The only thing I wish it had was a viewfinder. But gripes aside, the camera is great for shooting and will take your photography to another level vs using just a smartphone.

This is my first camera purchase and I must say that it was a great investment. I use it to record videos at the gym and it provides great quality.

Easiest camera to use right out of the box. Easy to send photos right to my computer and many options and effects at my fingertips.

Sony never disappoints best thing super clear pictures and I can record 1080p @ 60 frames per second using it for my YouTube videos

takes great pictures! I haven't had my camera that long but I have found so many awesome functions and I keep finding more every time I use it!

It takes very good quiality photos and videos and it has many functions yet to explore. So far I am happy with the camera.

This was one of the greatest gifts from my dear husband! It is easy to use and the wifi capabilities are useful to create prints to my phone!
