The camera performs really well! The only problem I have noticed us that the manual controls are a bit complicated. It is built well and the battery life is great.

Got this for my Dad to use as a glorified point and shoot. Works in that role but offers lots of flexibility.

Initially went for the Sony A6000 but switched to the 5100! I like it because it's compact; the view finder flips up (hello??), and it's of great quality. Also, it's a mirrorless camera, meaning you can interchange lenses. If you're thinking of getting this camera, you should!

I’m so glad I bought this camera!! I was debating between this & the G7X. But for the price of the canon, I was able to buy this camera & also get some accessories. Camera quality is great. & I love how I can just transfer my pictures straight to my phone!!

This a great camera for people who want the power of a dslr but not the complication. Easily expandable with a suite of accessories and lenses. Sony is the leader in quality sensors and that isn't lost in this camera.

Perfect camera for someone who is a beginner and for someone that doesnt want to carry the bulky cameras but wants more than a basic digital camera. Its a really good price for an amazing camera. it has really clear pictures and it has a lot of different customizable settings.

This camera is basically the same as the A6000 without the viewfinder. I use a viewfinder magnifier eyecup when needed otherwise the screen works fine. The smaller size allows me to have the camera with me more, and the best camera is the one you have with you.

We bought this camera just prior to a 14 day trip to Alaska. We found that it was very easy to use, and no batteries to replace all the time. The only drawback is that it does not have a view finder, so it is hard to use in bright outside conditions.

I got this camera for a recent trip to California and then on a cruise to Alaska. I used it at a family reunion in Cali and the pics were amazing. Then I used on a road trip from Cali to Washington and also the Alaskan cruise...love the images from the outdoors.

We love this camera. The delay setting is awesome for taking the pictures when nobody is around.

THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE IS TO HAVE THE CAP TO THE LENSE HELD ON WITH A CORD. DONT WANT TO LOSE IT

Great camera that takes amazing pictures right out of the box. Only issue is that it does not take great macro shots unless the lens is zoomed in.

This camera is a perfect learning camera. Easy to navigate and control and easy to change setting. HOWEVER if you for example want to start a YouTube channel with this camera, I would look at other options because the mic isn't great and doesnt have a shoe to add one. Other than that it takes great pics and videos.

We bought this camera instead of going with a dslr. I am very happy with the preprogrammed functions. It makes a non experienced photographer take professional looking pictures. So much better than a point and shoot camera. It’s worth the money.

Small size camera with the quality of a bigger one

This camera is great and timeless. It is better than the model that came out after it. Bought this camera on two separate occasions as gifts and there has been no complaints. Great picture quality and effects
