My only critique is that it’s hard to make sure the lense is focused when outside and it’s bright out since there is no viewfinder and you have to rely on the touchscreen to see your shot.

Best darn interchangeable lens mini camera ever made! It packs in a Sony 24mp APS-C crop sensor and has the finest auto focus on the market. It can be used (and I have used it) for simple snaps with a tiny Sony 20mm f/2.8 lens all the way up to my gigantic Sony 200-600mm telephoto lens. As I am writing this review it is most likely that you missed out on this wonderful camera because I am writing it over 2 years after I bought the A5100 camera. Too bad for you.

Sony a5100 meets both of those requirements plus it takes amazing pictures. Great picture quality at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend it.
