This is a good camera for beginners . Comparable to basic dslr

After needing to replace my sony digital camera that is no longer supported, I decided to purchase this product from Best Buy. This is a great selection for someone on the budget. My young niece loves to use this for her hobby.

Love this camera. Takes beautiful pictures which are crystal clear.

Not an easy camera to figure out. The instruction pamphlet is horrible. The anti shake lenses are fantastic.

Even though this camera is several years old, it's still performs extremely well. It turns on very quickly, so it's good for quick snapshots, vlogs or other quick photo opportunities. The one downside of it, is that it can't record for very long, as it tends to overheat even at the lowest resolution and lowest Fps.

So disappointed in this camera every time I wanted to use the wide angle lever I ended up missing the shot because it's to close to the on-off button I would hit that as well !!!! And turn the camera off. Enough of a problem WOULD NOT recommend this camera. Camera was to expensive for this problem

Good camera fore beginner, easy to use and good quality photos

I got this camera for a vacation. It does take really nice photos when you get the hang of how it works. Only feature I really feel it needs is a microphone jack so I can record better audio with my videos.

I am a vlogger, this camera is used more for the video than the pictures. The quality is excellent. However, while i appreciate the light wieght, I do feel that it is a little TOO lite for me. If you can catch it for $500 (open box) or somethin.... its worth it.

Love this camera, takes great pictures, but dont drop it

My husband and I bought this camera to use on our honeymoon. We wanted something that would offer high quality images but also be easy to use. This camera delivered! I LOVE this camera and would definitely recommend it.

this is a very cute camera. shoots ok, but it does not replace my older dlsr. actually, i use my dlsr more than this a5100. i originally purchased this for the flip up screen, but the quality is not there. my iphone 8 takes pics just the same

Worst camera, why would you spend $500 for a camera that's only records 10 minutes or less and then turns off bc it's too hot. While, it's recording indoors only. Don't get me wrong takes great pictures but honestly not even worth the hype. I originally bought for my beauty YouTube channel. And I already thought I need to return this camera. Trust me, save your money and time and don't get this camera. Plus I was only one day late from the returning it, bc you only have 15 days to return if you're a regular member or not a non member. The manger and other team members were very rude and only accepted store credit when the camera was literally brand new conditions. Location at 12281 Limonite Ave in Eastvale, CA

It is so versatile. Most shots are near perfect with just a small lens. Especially with the soft skin effect. I use playmemories to connect with it often as a remote. I'm going to buy a Sony 18-200 lens soon.

I picked this up as an open box and got a really good deal. Using this as a secondary streaming camera and works great as long as you also pick up a "dummy battery" AC adapter.

This camera is pretty good for taking pictures, just make sure you by an after market lens. It gets hot and will shutoff when doing video. If I would've know this first I would've bought a dslr. It to small and with a plastic case it doesn't distribute heat.
