Quality of this camera doesn’t amount to the rest of the mirrorless series. It shouldn’t even still be sold together in my opinion. It doesn’t have 4K but it does have the full flip up selfie screen.

This is a upgrade from a 10yr old sony camera. I am still learning about the features,and I have some good pictures so far . I just wish the lens we more reasonable priced. Highly recommended to anyone looking to upgrade.

First camera and I use it to take pictures of my car. My friend recommended this one out of the point and shoot cameras within a certain price range. Love how the screen will come up and you can twist it around

Purchased it for my wife for her to record her makeup tutorial videos for her YouTube channel and she loves how simple it is to use. She also loved the flip screen that it has and the small size of it

I ha e been using this camera for a while now and its great. It has a lot of features. And I absolutely love how stable and focused the camera is while I move. A great buy for any level.

This camera was a blast to take to Disney. Put the strap on and started shooting. Very light camera for such great shoots. Colors are Vibrant ,clear and just all around fun. Took lots of Pictures and lots of memories

This camera is great for stills. It has very good focus abilities for the price point. I did intend to record some video with this camera, however without the external mic input the audio is not too good. Not the best camera for vlogging, if that is what you are looking for.

I went to Best Buy for a point and shoot. A fantastic salesman explained all the features on this camera. I took it on a once in a lifetime trip and have beautiful photos! The "selfie" feature was easy and fun to use.

I was very excited to purchase this camera. It is compact and full of features. It is relatively easy to use. The PROBLEM is that you cannot see an image on the LCD in sunlight. The glare prohibits a view. I am going to try a "shield", but I wish I had spent more $$ and purchased the a6000 with a viewfinder.

Borrows quite a bit of features from the higher line 6000. The 5100also has a touch screen which flips 180 degrees, a feature not included on the 6000. Great for selfies if you are so inclined.

I'm sure that once I figure out how to use this camera, it will be great. I wish it came with the raw converter on disk and I really wish it came with a tutorial disk about all the settings on the camera. My first pictures are turned out to be a little less than crisp and I am not sure why. Photoshop can't read the raw files and that is disappointing. The proprietary software doesn't convert the raw into a dng and I really don't want to turn them into JPEGS to work in photoshop. That defeats the purpose of shooting in raw. I am looking for some sort of guidance on camera settings so my pictures come out better. Just not sure what I am doing wrong. It's a great size. I wish it had a viewfinder. Will have to re- review it when I get it figured out.

Camera is good for a beginner. Could be a little more user friendly

I was looking for a cheap vloggong camera but all the cheap ones would not focus fast enough. This one aint cheap but the auto focus is awesome. Well worth all the moneys.

Had a version like this but this one is an upgrade. Connects with phone through Bluetooth. Use phone as a remote when camera on a tripod while taking pictures. Amazing camera

Are you an experienced pothographer or a a beginner, it doesn't matter. This camera will offer the convenience of obtaining beautiful pictures without having to carry a big and heavy camera

I love this camera. It is so much smaller than other DSLR cameras because it is mirrorless. I also choose it because the screen turns around for selfies. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

Overall very pleased with the camera. Takes great close up and indoor photos. The biggest drawback is the lack of a viewfinder as can be hard to see the the screen in the bright Arizona sunshine. Very easy to use however. The touchscreen is quite intuitive even for a novice.

I did have the Sony a5000 when I started but quickly bought the a6000 to replace it. Sometimes, I didn't feel like bringing my 6000 so decided to get a smaller camera so bought the 5100. The 5100 does have a nice screen. The sensor inside is similar to the a6000 so it is very quick. However, the thing I don't like about this camera is how difficult it is to navigate the settings. This is annoying if you like to have a little more control that just using this as a point-and-shoot. Despite the camera not fitting my use, I do believe this camera is nice. It is good for beginners that want a nice camera a little bigger than a point-and-shoot but might want to have more options when they learn more about photography.

It's a good basic camera. I'm not happy with the raw files since they don't have lens correction or that great of a latitude but on the bright side the jpgs come out quite good, meaning the auto correction the camera does on the raw is actually quite good.
