Shocked at the quality of my camera. Head to head, better than most DSLR cameras and takes unbelievably high quality photographs. Its convenient size, interchangeable lenses, long battery life make it the go to camera for hobbyists and professionals alike. I would recommend this camera to anyone in the market for a good value camera with room for customization and investment based on your personal needs.

This camera is a great option for photographer's looking to use a camera with great presets but also easy manual settings. Great UX in the menu. Also has the option to had a blur effect to skin!

After 30 years of shooting with Nikons, I went to the store to buy yet another. The associate showed me the Sony models, which I'd been curious about, yet hesitant to embrace. 20 minutes later, I walked out with a newly purchased Sony a6000. This camera shoots better still and video than I could have imagined. It is not just a game changer, it's a life changer. To those who wonder if mirror less technology is viable, I say yes It is!! I love this thing. i gave my old Nikons away. The best part was the advice provided by the Best Buy associate and the fact a Sony rep is in the store several days each week to help me explore the ability of the camera. I opted for a package deal of body and two lenses for Much less than online retailers. Instant gratification, a great price and pro grade advice and instruction. Best Buy has it all.

I bought this camera as an adjunct to my Canon 6d; I wanted something I could use without lugging my larger one around and something more practical to travel with. It takes great pictures especially for its compact size. While it’s not much larger than a point and shoot, you have the luxury of being able to change lenses and add a detachable flash although it does come with one. Another thing that drew me to this camera as a photographer was the feature of a view finder, many of the newer mirrorless and digital cameras especially of this size have eliminated the physical view finder which is something I prefer shooting with. Overall, great find.

I was undecided between this and a point and shoot. The deciding factor was that you can change the lenses out. I am very impressed at how easy this camera was to use. pictures are beautiful.

I feel in love with this camera. I needed a camera to take on vacation and had plans on buying another brand but after talking to the sales rep, he showed me some key differences on the two. I did not do much research on this camera- but because it is so easy to use I didn't need much help on learning the functions. Since my vacation I have read and learned that I can do amazing things with all of its special functions! And, the best part is...it came with TWO lenses!

Was looking to get a camera to catch toddler to teenager action shots. I was educated by the sales associate about the newer mirrorless cameras that can take more frames per second and am very happy with my purchase..... although I haven't had much time to practice with it yet. The smaller size of mirrorless is great compared to standard DSLRs. It came with an extended lens and had great reviews from what I could find. Plus it still had Black Friday pricing on it!

Bought before family vacation to Universal Studios. Great camera and features. Have not checked them all out but Sony is bar none of of the very best companies when it comes to any electonic item. TV, camera etc. I've always enjoyed giving them the business for the type of product and services they give when you need help. Best Buy hit a home run carrying this camera for the price they offered at. Extra lens was a plus.

Top notch quality camera with mobile smartphone app to control. Has amazing shutter speed to read text on moving propeller. Nice camer; worth the cost for great technology. Well worth it!

I am very happy with the image quality of the a6000 and the kit lenses. I moved from a Canon 6D to the mirrorless system and couldn't be happier with the image quality. I originally bought this camera as a light weight travel camera but the images and user experience are so good that I am planning to sell my heavy Canon gear and commit to the Sony mirrorless system.

I do some professional photography work. Mainly studio stuff. However if I'm traveling for fun, I'd rather not pack 20 pounds of camera equipment if I don't have to. I find this camera good for landscapes, okay for people. I wouldn't use it for professional shoots. But you can't beat the weight and space saving. Lenses for the Sony cameras are average at best and they cost a lot. I just stick to the kit lens for the main reason that the high performance lens are big and bulky. The entire reason I chose NOT to bring my Nikon traveling. On top of that their big lenses are also expensive, much more so than Canon or Nikon. Price out a 50mm 1.4 lens and you'll see what I mean. Camera is ideal for walking around and casual shots.

I bought this camera for my Fiance she used it straight on of the box for a wedding. Her brother a photographer set it up. After that took great pics. The brother was even impressed

The Sony a6000 provides excellent photo quality with a mid-range price. The two lenses provide excellent quality at short or long distances. The lightning fast focusing ability is the best feature of the camera. The camera is slim and compact which is great, but can sometimes make holding the camera awkward in certain situations. Overall the camera is excellent and I highly recommend it to a recreational photographer or professional.
