I bought this at the last minute before we left for a land and long boat trip to China with my fingers crossed at the recommendation of one of the Best Buy Associates hoping to capture the once in a lifetime trip. The Sony camera was just what I needed, light weight and a powerhouse for those incredible shots of one of the most foreign travels that I definitely wanted to capture as much as possible. My friends and family are able to share in the moment with the great auto focus pictures and I look forward to really learning how to use the full capabilities of this camera.

I have been using a Canon 70D with a 24-70 f4L lens with great success for a number of years, yet have become increasingly frustrated by its rather large size. After trying the Canon M5, I decided to give this camera a try. The two lenses that came with the camera work quite well. I did find the 16-50 lens to be quite clear even though the motorized zoom was just a bit noisy. The 55-210 is very crisp until about 175 mm. The A6000 body coupled with the Sony Zeis 16-70 is nothing short of outstanding, with the overall performance actually being better than my Canon setup. Absolutely perfect for travel.

For an amateur photographer, this is a good camera. Nice quality pics and easy to use. 2nd lense is a nice bonus to use while on vacation for distant shots.

Bought thus for my daughter for Christmas. She said that it is very user friendly and pictures easy to download. She is very satisfied and uses it a lot.

This is my first "real" camera after years of only using a cellphone. I've only been using it a few weeks so still getting a hang of it. My first outting using this was with the kit 16-50mm lens at a car show. Although I haven't fully dialed in my settings in manual mode, the pictures I took were good enough for a wheel company to contact me to get originals of some the pictures of their cars that I took. That said even for a complete newbie still messing around with settings in manual mode, it still can take great pictures. Do not regret moving from a cellphone to this camera!

Purchased this camera to capture every moment of our 8 month old little princess. My wife and I are totally thrived with the ease and amazing pictures this camera takes

Bought the camera in anticipation of an upcoming trip. Took great photos and easy handling. Within two weeks camera wouldn't recognize one of the lenses and often would black out. Luckily has a warranty; sent it to Sony for repair last week. Hoping issue will be resolved.When I first took it to Best Buy I was told that I wasn't the first to have returned with such a problem (something they neglected to tell me about when I went to purchase!).

Very nice , easy to use a lot of features in a small package, a bit much for basic picture taking, not to happy with battery life so plan on purchasing extra batteries

this is really an amazing camera for its size. I was coming from a full Nikon DSLR and this beats it, with a smaller form factor and sharper photos and good night shots.

Overall- I love this camera. It's light weight, easy to take on-the-go. I bought to take pictures of my toddler, but has ended up serving purpose for other events! The only downfall I've found is that since it is a newer version it's harder to find good, strong tutorials and etc online.

Previously owned a Nex-C3 from Sony and upgraded to this one. Very fast, sharp, beautiful pictures.

Bought this camera for taking pictures of my kids sports and for our vacation. Was really impressed by the quality of the pictures. Also very easy to use.

This is a great camera. It is very easy to use out of the box, but I recommend using youtube to get a better understanding of all the features this great camera has.

Camera is easy to use. Great for sporting events like soccer, football and basketball. Fast and accurate focusing, a lot of the pro dslr features on a small compact pakage.

Newbie tried the canon rebel was disappointed got this mirrorless with zoom has been awesome. Taking waaaay too many shots at college football games! 11/second!

A camera is not a camera is not a camera. I also own a Canon 6D and quite a bit of L-glass. I'm not going to sit here and compare apples and oranges, but I will say that this is an awesome camera for what it is. Sometimes you just need a compact camera that takes great pics and the Sony fits the bill. I'd rather carry it in public and while traveling than the 6D although there is, admittedly, a compromise in image quality. But it's good enough 99% of the time. I'm fond of saying "the right tool for the right job," and if you know what you are doing, this camera fills its niche quiet nicely.

I bought this for travel. Perfect size when you don't want to carry a DSLR or larger mirrorless camera. The kit len is small and versatile but is nothing special. I highly recommend buying a prime lens. The 55-210 zoo lens works great and is high quality.
