Light weight, perfect for travel. I really like the shutter speed for taking pictures of youth sports.

I bought the a6000 because I needed a better camera for taking stills at live music events (local bands mostly) and the 1st evening I used it was at Copper Blues, 34 North was playing. I started with the a+ setting and the 210 zoom lens and the images were amazing. I have been using the camera for a few months and I continue to be amazed at the quality with the flash (I took hundreds of photos at the Rock and Roll HoF).

I found out about this camera about two years ago but didn't want to pay that much so went for a different Sony camera I ending up breaking. Fast forward to now and the price went down since the A6300 came out. I have been in love with this camera from the first pic. It's great for professionals and those who barely take pics that want a great camera. My friends all love the quality of the photos and are tempted to buy one.

It’s great for beginners. The auto settings are nice and take great photos. You can go into manual mode and adjust what you need to for the kind of photo you’re shooting. Haven’t had any problems with it and the battery life is pretty good. I got the bundle w/the lenses and they seem good so far. Will probably invest into better ones later. I’d recommend this camera to anyone who wants to take great photos.

This is my first "professional camera". I have used other types from friends, but nothing seems to take flawless pictures so easily like this camera does! The only down side to this camera is the fact the large part of society expects a large camera in order to have professional pictures taken.... but they do not realize that since it is mirrorless, you have a slimmer body and AMAZING pictures! I will never go to DSLR cameras!

The resolution and processor have been bumped up, the most notable feature on the a6000 is its updated Hybrid AF system. The company also claims that the a6000 has the fastest AF performance on the market, though those statements should always be taken with a grain of salt. Camera is light, easy to use and it takes awesome pictures. Detail is great.

Takes awesome pictures. Is compact enough for on the go shooting but not too small in general.

Coming from a non-mirrorless Nikon, the image quality is immediately 100x better to my eye. I use this camera as a hobby shooter for everything from automotive to aircraft and get amazing results every time. Write speeds are slow but I try to set my shot before I take it. Sort of counteracts. No issues for me. Only issue is with the cost of the other lenses! BIG $$$$ for other lenses!

The camera and accessories are superb. While it is presented as a beginner’s camera, it is in fact quite complex, not helped by frankly inadequate instructions. However a book by David Busch has helped immensely and is to be recommended for anyone new to such a complex machine. Once I become familiar with it, it is clear that I am going to have a lot of fun with it. One issue, the airbags in the delivery box were all deflated on arrival and the camera was rattling around in the box. Doesn’t seem to have damaged it.
