I was hesitant to go from a DSLR to a mirrorless, but my camera was stolen - so I was looking for a replacement. Came across the Sony on a great sale from Best Buy and thought Id give it a shot. I have not had a chance to fully use it yet, but my initial impressions are great. The build quality is nice, all metal body. It is larger than I expected - but that is a good thing, coming from a DSLR. I was afraid it would be too small. My first few test images look great an compare favorably to the Nikon d5300 I had prior.

Overall a nice deal got it with the camera bag and sd card. Same deal was not available in store but then online site helps.

I had help choosing a camera in store from a well knowledged employee. You honestly cannot go wrong for any reason you may want a camera for. I'm not very tech savvy but it didn't take to long to figure the basics out. I am still learning and impressed with more things it can do. You will be impressed yourself if you choose this camera!

My daughter has this camera and I LOVED the pictures from vacations. WHen she took it to college with her, we bought another. I am not completely tech savvy - so there is much more the camera can do than I know how to use yet. But am learning - for now, great and easy portraits, landscapes, and action shooting for High School sporting events.

I have been taking pictures with my phone for years but decided since we were taking a vacation it was time to step up to a decent camera. This sure fit the bill. The Sony A6000 takes the guess work out of taking amazing photographs. We are only in our third day on our trip and are more than pleased with the quality of the camera and the photos.

I love this camera, and love that I can use sports action mode to get great shots during sporting activities. Used it a couple weeks ago to go back and forth between recording video and taking pictures while watching volleyball. Photos and video turned out great! Even thought it is my first camera, the A6000 makes up for my own deficits.
