Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Alpha a6000's camera quality, ease of use, and compact size, frequently praising its lightweight design. Many also appreciate the camera's features and find it offers good value for the price. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and low-light performance and autofocus could be more reliable. The telephoto lens's autofocus functionality has also received some criticism.

After researching mirrorless cameras, I decided to go with the Sony a-6000. It has wifi capabilities, you can download apps, and it's very simple to use. I highly recommend it.

Love, love, love the frames per second and ability to get great action shots indoors without a flash. The zoom is not as powerful as I would like (softball outfielders and basketball players at the opposite end of the court). Also, I have to change lenses for normal (in the same room) pictures.

What an impressive camera. Very compact, light, easy to carry, definitely smaller and lighter than DSLRs and having better technology. I do recommend this camera.

The camera is better than me. But I plan on learning to use more features. Retirement is busier than working.

I was looking for a Leica, but I had read really good reviews of this camera. I have to say that I was pretty disappointed. The camera was very elaborate - but not in a good way. Autozoom was awkward and the mounts for the lenses were really difficult to use. With other advanced SLR's (such as the Nikon D-series, you would line up a dot on the lens and the mount porthole - this was trial and error until it would click in. The lens cap on the smaller lens was so tiny that if you had big fingers it was difficult to apply - and the camera didn't even come with a lens cap securing device; you had to purchase that separately for both lens caps. All-in-all, I felt this was an extremely over priced unit and because I couldn't return it due to the 2 week rule, I have passed it on to another camera owner. Really disappointed!

It's not as bulky as a DSLR, and it takes exceptional pictures in low light and even darkness! Super easy to learn to use too. The only feature I wish it had is GPS.

Still working on all the features this camera has to offer. Takes great pictures. The 210 mm zoom lens and camera combination allowed some amazing shots of eagles in flight.

Still new and figuring out the camera. Lack of a real users manual for the features and menu is annoying. Lenses are expensive so will take a while to get different lenses for different type of photos. Wish is was waterproof or at least water resistant.

I have Nikon equipment, but it is too big and heavy to carry around much. Sony bought the old Minolta lens manufacturing facility -- and Minolta made great lenses.

From using a Canon, this camera takes pretty good pictures and has great shutter speed, among other options. My only problem is the camera to phone connectivity using the Sony app. is not as simple as the Canon app.

A little overwhelming with how many options and setting there are, but once I understood the settings and how to properly adjust the camera, I couldn't be happier.
