Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Alpha a6000's camera quality, ease of use, and compact size, frequently praising its lightweight design. Many also appreciate the camera's features and find it offers good value for the price. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and low-light performance and autofocus could be more reliable. The telephoto lens's autofocus functionality has also received some criticism.

Loved it until it broke!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used twice and got some great pictures until I went to grab it out of the case two weeks later and it wouldn't work. Thankfully the store returned for full credit!

Not super happy for the price I paid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not thrilled after the money spent. The focus in my opinion is not a good as my brothers Fuji film xt20. I wish I would of paid a little more for his camera since I already new the quality. Also not happy about the 15 restocking fee if we return.

Not as good as reviews but could be user
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every photo I took had to be photoshopped to lighten. Could have been the setting but I did not find the camera user friendly, nor getting the photos off the camera

Did Not like at all
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camara for a trip because I did not want a bulky DLSR. This camara has built in flash but is useless. It takes to long in Auto focus and some times it gets stuck.

Not as great as all the hype!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this based on all the reviews and I needed a small camera for trips instead of carrying my heavy Canon 5 Diii. I'm a professional photog and I was excited to try a mirrorless camera. I'm not happy with the quality of photos & I am especially not happy with the convoluted menu system...not very intuitive and difficult to figure out focus options. I do not recommend this camera. Sorry, Sony.

Excellent Photography Platform for all Skill Sets
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a great camera for taking and publishing high quality images. The camera has many features that make it easy to get a pro result with limited photography experience. Overall this camera has become my go-to for light-weight highly featured pro quality photography. The camera is very durable as well, I have been able to use the Alpha 6000 in all kinds of environments - just brush it off and keep on taking pictures. Also impressive, is the assortment of shooting modes. If you are not experienced in setting up a camera to get the right shot, no problem simply select the mode from the menu and start shooting. Conversely, if you are photographer and want to shoot in custom modes, this camera has the capability to perform at the highest levels. The Alpha is part of a larger, extensible family of products. You not boxed in with a starter camera when you choose this model.

Not a great camera for beginners
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all the play memories app is terrible to use. The "wifi" download directly to your phone is a nightmare and does not function properly. All the extra bells and whistles that are supposed to make this camera better than cannon and nikon are garbage. on top of that the viewing screen scatches very easily. I do not recommend this camera for ease of use. it takes decent pictures however all the settings are extremely confusing.

Returned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had too much noise in the longer lens. Returned as it didn’t shoot in low light without noise and was told it would.

Meh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good camera, for the price I expect rotating screen for vlogging and the limitation for video recording to avoid overheating and lack of 4k is something to wonder about for the price range.

mixed bag, with risks
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i'm no where near a pseudo-professional, but this is my casual take. i like a number features a lot: fabulous low-light capability (i remember the day of being grateful for 1,000 ISO film!), and the panoramic ability to automatically stitch together a series of exposures into a panoramic image is great. many other good features, but i presume are fairly standard, but the 2 features i mentioned do not seem to universal. bad side: after about 2 yrs of limited use, the shutter froze up. i could take a picture, then had to turn it off and take the battery out to 'reboot' it to take another picture. looked on-line: this problem seemed to be 'common', with a number of useless on-line fixes. i spent a good chunk of money on this camera, only to have to slap down another $200 to fix it....which SEEMS, from online, to be a 'common', 'well-known', and even long standing problem, yet SONY kept on churning out this lame hardware. quite a few people even had the failure during warranty coverage, lucky them!

Not great for beginners
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera has potential, but has to many functions (never thought that would be a problem) and if one is set wrong your pictures will be mediocre or blurry.

not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Sony products but this camera takes pictures just like a regular camera. Nothing special. not worth the money. I would get a DSLR camera instead for the price.
