I've only ever used a simple digital camera but I decided I wanted a better quality picture. A friend suggested the A6000 with the 55-200 lens. I have enjoyed getting acquainted with the camera. You Tube videos have been a lifesaver as the electronic manual is not very user friendly. The picture quality is great and the lenses are easy to change out.

The camera is super handy and it takes cool pictures. Especially if you are looking to buy a camera to learn photography, I will definitely recommend this product. Better than entry level Nikon and Canon!

Gives all the big boy DSLR's a run for their money. Highly recommended! Without Lightroom (editing) this camera performs like no other. The images are incredible. Anyone could use this camera with ease.

I purchased the Sony a6000 kit late 2016. I don't use the camera often but do use it for special occasions and vacations. I am happy with the camera except for the KNOWN lens faults with the 16-50mm lens. The lens looses communication with the camera body. Youtube has many reports about this issue to the point that at least one calls this lens a piece of Sony crap. My lens is acting up more and more frequently now that makes is difficult to capture a good shot. The lens fault will occasionally lock the camera up and in order to get the camera working again the camera power needs to be cycled. The lens continuously looses the F-stop causing the lens to zoom in and out on its own and if the F-stop is re-established then the shot needs to set up all over again. I have in the past recommended this camera to friends but have to take that recommendation back. A sales person recommended me to purchase a new lens rather than offering some resolution or some type of credit or fix. The lens that was recommended cost almost twice the cost of the kit price! The 16-50mm is a great focal length range but not the quality that I expect from Sony. Sony, why are you still offering this lens if it has an inherent problem?

I bought this Camera package on 11/26 from Saratoga Best Buy. Since I bought few items together, I could not verify all details, but when I checked yesterday, I reallized I did not receive the free items mentioned with the package. ( Camera Case, 32GB mem card and $20 to gift card etc). And also its weird to see no charger included inside the package. I intend to return the package if this is the case. Please advise, thanks.

I have had mirrorless before, previous generations from sony, this is the best all around camera for beginners and advanced photographers. has a lot of features other brands are not even doing yet.

I got this for my wife for Mother's Day. She likes it all except, the difficulty in putting the strap on the camera. I myslf, saw the pictures that it took, and it looks great! We do have a vacation planned to New York City. We can't wait to use the camera.

I love the size and usability of the fantastic camera. I have a Sony A7 also but this 1 just does it for me.

This camera is simply awesome. It has simplistic easy to use auto features and great manual use features. It is a great single shot camera as well as a very good fast action shooter. The continuous mode is fast, I mean FAST! The auto focus will blow you mind with its speed! Get one... Get one now, you will not be disappointed.
