The zoom does zoom but the picture doesn’t with the lens that comes with the camera. I had to call Sony for help which was good but it’s just to much camera Cost of accessories is very high

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I purchased this as an upgrade from my old Sony a-series DSLR mainly for the HD video recording capability. I was excited to record video with my different lenses. Many users have encountered the same problem that I have. When recording video, the battery is drained super quickly, or the camera will just shut off due to "overheating" leaving you with videos not even being saved. There are tricks to work around it but the problems even so persist. Sony's answer to this is that this is a camera for photos, not a video-camera/camcorder for videos. A poor excuse if you ask me. I am on my second battery and have had to purchase the travel wall charger to ensure proper charging as opposed to USB. Had I known all of this I would have probably made the switch away from Sony. I did purchase the Geek Squad Plan so if anything, they will deal with my issues when they arise. It is great for strictly photo taking though! A+ in that aspect. C overall.
