I have only used the lens on the camera and have had no reason to remove the lens. While taking a few photos on vacation, an error message appeared saying that the lens was not recognized and the camera completely froze and was useless. After paying over $700 for this camera and that it is brand new, it should not have happened! To top it off Best Buy's policy is only a 15 day return. I don't understand all the positive comments about this camera. Any decent camera that you pay this much for, should not stop working after taking a few photos.

This is so disappointing. Further, you can't shoot time lapse at full resolution. The wifi connection to my iphone is garbage. Sony make an SDK available so competent developers can finish their work for them and provide a complete product.

The total pictures I toke is less than 100. Not it won't start, totally died. Wasted more than 1000 dollars. so disappointed
