Two Canons down- try a Sony
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wore out 2 Canons and working on a Lumix, all super zoom bridge cameras. Stopped at Best Buy to look at Canon SX60 or Nikon P900. Best Buy"s Sean recently got the Alpha 6000 and was contagiously charged up with it. I told him what I do with, and expect from a camera, primarily wildlife. He, I believe unintentionally talked me into trying this. Not wanting to get caught up in the bigger, bigger craze of lenses, I stayed away from these. I got the 55-210mm with the camera and will try to be satisfied for a while. I always shoot manual and am amazed to find the A6000 is actually simpler, faster, MUCH more versatile, and much more fun! After about a month, I say buy it!!! 4 stars because nothing is perfect.

Great Image Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This very small and light weight camera competes with my much larger DSLR in terms of image quality and flexibility to take pictures under various lighting conditions and of many subjects. It has 2 multi-image functions, panorama and noise reductions that are very useful. High pixel density and low noise allow me to digitally zoom to the rough equivalent of 200mm in Photoshop and still get an 8x10 print. The lens is OK, except for a little corner light loss at 16mm.

Great camera for any level
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is amazing and it will suit both professional and amateur photographer. If you are looking for a small and lightweight camera that can outperform a lot of bigger DSLRs - this is the one. The lens is OK for a beginner photographer and would definitely work if you need "auto" mode or looking for one-for-all solution. You may want to upgrade the lens in future.

Excellent!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a camera that provides good quality pictures but should also be handy unlike the DSLR. I'm so satisfied with this camera. I wasn't happy with my previous one and now I finally got the camera of my dreams. There are several more features that I still have to learn about.

Good Camera for Beginner; Want to Keep for Awhile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally walked into Best Buy with the intension of either buying Canon or Nikon. After looking around at my options and telling the person what I would be using my camera for (softball and cats), he directed me to this camera. It was at a higher price point than I was expecting but I listened to what it had to offer. In the end, I purchased this camera because of the 11 frames per second, the smaller size (in comparison to the Nikon and Canon), it was mirror-less, and the fact it wouldn't be outdated as soon since mirror-less was 'new'. I was frustrated at first trying to take pictures at softball because they were blurred. I did go back to the store and sit with a guy for about 30 minutes. He showed me enough to be dangerous. I'll use the manual settings when I have time to tinker but when I just want a quick shot, I'll use the automatic settings. I was told the battery would drain quicker than others so I purchased a second batter. I've yet to have to use both in the same day.

Fantastic camera. Quick focus and great video
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I stopped using my Canon DSLR cameras after buying my first mirrorless Sony Nex camera. The A6000 was my latest upgrade (from the Sony Nex 6) and I couldn't be happier. The focus is fast and sharp, the camera light and portable, and the video is superb. Can't recommend this camera enough.

Love
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely LOVE the Sony a6000. It's lightweight and the perfect size for me. It's easy to figure out how to use and I love that you are able to change the lens. The zoom isn't very well with the lens that comes with the camera, but you can purchase an additional lens if you need to.
