It is the best beginner camera for a beginner and the price that one can live with.

Bought this camera for my 21 year old niece. She likes the camera a lot and is looking forward to taking photos on her travelling adventures. I recommend purchasing a memory card at the same time you make your purchase, especially if you intend to use the camera immediately. It does not come with one and you will be out of luck in being able to save photos.

I'd give it a 5 star rating, but I'm just a novice user so I don't want to mislead any pro users out there. I picked this up for 2 reasons: 1. Size - I'll mainly use this for traveling so size will play an important factor. Given it's small frame, I can stash the camera in my backpack in a pinch or in my hand as I'm running between destinations. 2. Shutter Speed - I like to take action shots so the 11 frames per second is a huge plus! Tack on the auto-tracking focus, you've got a winner!

I took a lot of photos with this camera and I must say, I got some really nice ones. The biggest problem I had however was with the panorama setting. I tried it probably a dozen times and got only one to actually work. It would always say either "move camera more slowly" or "move camera more quickly" The only other beef I have is not with the camera, but with Best Buys return policy. I did end up returning it because they only give you 15 days. If I had been given 30 days, I may have ended up keeping it, but I just didn't have enough time to decide. It's possible I may "re-buy", but unsure at this point

Compared to my early DSLR models this camera feels sturdy, well-made, and worth its price. The image quality is fantastic and the menus are relatively-intuitive. I do recommend pairing this with Sony's 50mm 1.8 lens for general photos of people and objects. My favorite little perk of this model is pairing it to my phone via wifi. This makes it very convenient to share pictures online.

Havent used this camera as much as I would like to, but so far, so good. Great photos, lightweight, priced right. I purchased a prime lense and the results are fantastic

I came into Best Buy wanting the Canon t5i, but ended up getting the Sony mirror less camera. It's a good camera, takes good pictures and its compact and can be taken anywhere. My only compliant is the audio sucks when you record, the screen doesn't flip, and the screen is very dim and hard to see while taking a picture in the sun. But other than that, this is a great camera for beginners.

I bought a Panasonic Lumix GF6 last year and was ok with the picture quality. That is, until my friend showed me his A6000. It's like night and day. The images with the A6000 are sharper and look better overall. Maybe I'm not using the GF6 properly. Who knows? I'm not an expert. Very happy with my purchase.

This camera has amazing quality. The lens kit that comes included is good but you gotta get the higher quality ones which truly make this camera shine. It's easy to use, lightweight and good battery.

Taken around 10,000 shots so far and this camera has proven to be a fantastic investment. Even with APS-C sensor and no 4K options, this things can generate amazingly professional looking photos. Autofocus is fast and viewfinder is nice and bright. It's small and lightweight. With a low profile lens attached, it can fit in your pocket. I 100% recommend as a beginner camera for those seriously interested in photography, a backup camera for it's bigger cousins (a7iii, etc...), or if you just desire an incredibly mobile yet POWERFUL camera. I couple mine with vintage lenses and get wonderful results. If you've been on the fence about this one, just do it.

I can't say enough about this series from Sony. I got this for a steal during one of the holiday sales almost half a year ago and have shot with it almost every day since. I work for a Video Marketing company and needed something portable to capture quick BTS shots of the team on-location and I'm happy to share that this has become my all around camera for both work and personal life. I've always been creative but have discovered a new passion with this camera in photography. It's lightweight, user-friendly and highly intuitive – Only downside is the lack of 4K.
