First the nits... Many settings are driven through the non-intuitive menu, the viewfinder is simply not that of a DSLR, and the kit 16-50 lens gives passable performance at best. However, the pluses overwhelm the minuses. The mount allows, through inexpensive adapters, the use of literally hundreds of vintage lenses, the camera's size and handling are superb, and the images produced by the sensor are remarkable in color, resolution, and contrast. Looking forward to using video alot more. Overall, there are very few, if any, cameras that offer more for less.

this is my go-to camera. I have lugged this lightweight beauty to several states and its done the trick. really easy to use, produces beautiful photo quality and it's lightweight for hiking or traveling. only downside is that there are a few cameras on the market that can do the same and may be cheaper, or cameras that are expensive and higher quality, so this camera should be at least 200 cheaper, but its at the 800 range. but it is a sony and you can also switch lenses and it has decent, not great, but OK low light abilities.

Using this camera for a 42 day cruise and wanted something light that took excellent photos. I also like that I can use my other Canon lens with it. very versatile for travel. I also use it for landscapes and nature photography. takes very clear photos.

I picked this up because my iPhone was no longer a viable option for conventions, and I really liked it at NYCC. Yes, I still need to start figuring out the best ways to use it, but it is a good enough camera that you can just use it straight away, and then get to work on improving your methods.

Love the camera, I'm a beginner but on auto settings you would never know the difference! It does the same and better as bulkier cameras. The ability to take very fast pictures and moving targets is my favorite.

I love this camera. It is light, gives me good lens options, and takes great photos in low light. I am an old 35 mm camera user who never made it to digital with the exception of a point and shoot. It had some AP and SP options that did ok but was horrible in low light. Upon researching DSLRs, I heard a lot of professional photographers say they increasingly leaving their DSLR camera bag at home and only taking their mirrorless out shooting. All reviews pointed to the Sony Alpha 6000. After looking at a Fuji mirrorless, a Canon DSLR, and the Sony A6000, I chose the Sony and love the high ISO clarity and excellent exposure in low light settings. Menu and camera settings are simple and very intuitive.

Bought for my daughter who has sparked an interest in photography. Its light weight, small, and easy to use. She loves the white color and her matching 50mm prime lens.

I have owned many types of cameras and I am very happy with the photos I an getting with this camera I can say the kit lens is ok and would be great for starting out. But would say a prim lens would be much better and looking forward to getting the 1.8 50mm. I have two poodles and they love to play I can get all the high speed photos. Don't take the cheap price for a cheap camera. Also look at a few you tube videos of the pics you can get with this camera. Jason Lanier with truly show you what this camera can do and once I get my lighting I will be set for my business. Thanks to Sony for making. Camera that you don't need to remove your nose.
