Sony camera technology has done it again. Even with an older model as this, it's still a heavy hitter and a great camera for intermediate or those who want something more serious than a point and shoot. You get great capability out of a small lightweight package. The a6000 even beats out some of your current DSLRs, which is extrodinary, I'm not making this up. It's not over complicated, but will take highly sophisticated pictures. If you know what you're doing this is a very power camera in your hands.

There’s a lot to learn on this camera. Need to get familiar with the settings and where everything is on it and there’s a lot on it. You also have options with lenses. The Best Buy employee showed me some of his photos he took with it and they’re amazing. Btw, upgraded cameras are not always new and improved. The other comparable cameras are the canon rebels, but i have that camera style and I find those bulky and difficult to operate because of the size. They’re heavy to carry around. The Sony is a fine camera, way more compact. I’m really happy with it.

I have not had this camera to long but so far it is one of my better buys it is light weight and takes great pictures very easy to use.

Not sure if I should give this a 4 or 5 because I have only had it two months, but using a lot overseas to capture memories and scenery. It does a really great job, and I love not having a mirror to flip! The lens is good, but I also purchased a larger zoom. Camera is well-balanced and I am completely satisfied at this point. Still learning all the options and settings. It is a great camera for the expense.

It's super compact and powerful camera. It will take some time to get used to it due to small body factor initially its hard to use and access control while you are focusing to capture best shot. Once you are familiar with controls it would be little bit easy. + points -> Pictures are sharp even in low light. You just need to use proper settings. -> Small body factor and easy to carry while travelling(It can fit in backpack with carrying case) - points -> Battery not good -> No time laps video option(Although you can download app from camera app store but you need to pay price for that!)

This camera is amazing! It's perfect for beginners and professionals. I love that it is small enough to carry around casually and still produce amazing professional photos! Sony makes it easy to attach any lens to it with the help of an e-mount. I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera. Before this camera I was using a professional Nikon camera, and now I will never go back. I love that it is mirrorless, because that 11fps has come in handy at soccer practice. I would recommend this camera to anyone! Give it a try! I have had mine for 2 years now and it still takes great photos.

I wanted to upgrade from my 10 year-old trusty Nikon D50 and decided to go the mirror less route. I chose the a6000 over the a5100 because of the viewfinder and hotshoe. I'm glad I did. The viewfinder is very clear and I think essential when shooting outside in bright light. The A6000 has so many options and settings it is a bit overwhelming at first. Fortunately, the auto settings are very good. I bought the Gary Friedman Ebook and I am glad I did. It quickly got me to the point where I feel very comfortable with all the options and able to set up the camera to suit my preferences. I highly recommend the a6000.

We did online research and made numerous trips to Best Buy before deciding on this camera. I love it! It is easy to use ~ self explanatory.

This company continues to amaze me with their quality engineering. This is an incredible camera for the price. I moved up from the NEX 3 and it's amazing how the product line continues to improve. Plenty of lenses and accessories to fill up any photographers gadget bag.

It takes beautiful photos and is portable. It is fairly fragile so not recommended for professionals

I highly recommend this camera. I was torn between a traditional DSLR and a mirrorless camera. I chose the Sony because it was smaller and had more features than a basic DSLR. The photo quality is excellent, and I have had no problems using all the features I have tried to date.

Recommended in store when I was looking at Rebel EOS. Worth the extra money over non mirrorless

Outstanding features. Great quality pictures. Good build quality. Plan to spend some time if you are a novice photographer. It will be well worth the effort, because there is so much packed into this small package.

I'm a beginner that didn't want to dish out big money on a huge DSLR, but didn't want a simple point and shoot. The fact that you can interchange the lens was a great selling point! Incredible shutter speed!

I still need to read the manual but this camera takes unbelievable absolutely gorgeous beautiful portraits wIthout hardly any effort. It is so fast I could just snap away and catch the quickest moments and photo opportunities. I was amazed at how beautiful the pictures turned out when I was just pointing and shooting. I was a little frustrated with the controls when I tried to play back to view and hit the wrong button thus getting me stuck viewing the Fstop, color settings etc... but then again, I had not read ANY of the instructions and had just taken it out to try it. The colors are so vivid and it looks like you can walk right into my landscape photos, definitely high definition. I can't wait to see what it can do after I figure out what I'm doing...I probably don't need this much of a camera but there is no way I'm taking it back after falling in love with it so quickly... Incredible! I love it!

There was a lot of research into different cameras before selecting this particular one and it was indeed a good decision. It’s now been several months with some good use and this camera definitely performs well. The mirrorless aspect makes it much more lightweight than dslr counterparts while not losing much in capturing the photos that you really want. I am still learning to work with the manual features and that is a process but so far it has been worth the price. Perfect for use during travel.

This camera is definitely worth the price. It takes flawless pictures. It's kind of hard to mess up any picture. The app makes it easy to transfer pictures to my phone. And simply having the option of upgrading to bigger lenses is a plus. Would definitely recommend.

I love this camera! It’s small but the quality is amazing it’s perfect to go places without lugging my dslrs everywhere, four stars because the battery dies really quick.
